  1. As long as you like Fenders in different colours, you’re good!
  2. Must be one of the google ads. It happened before and they sorted it, I’ll report it
  3. I’ve got your phone
  4. I offer competitive rates of interest. @AndyTravis knows this very well, as I now legally own him and his house but he’s got a Yamaha BB out of it
  5. Yeah I'll whack it in site issues in case it helps anyone else. Cheers
  6. Hm the IP is a vodafone broadband one (your home WiFi?) Ah just seen your reply, glad it's sorted...
  7. Mine all live in a rack on my desk, but the rack has a lid so they're covered (It looks like a coffin) The mini bass is always chilling in the lounge so I can easily grab it and have a noodle whilst I'm watching Love Island
  8. They’re very selective in what they deem inappropriate. Normally it boils down to what doesn’t lose them money.
  9. They just ban the customer for asking to come and try
  10. It’s so you don’t just pay for it face to face rather than through eBay. They want their grubby mitts on your money.
  11. As long as it’s not punk I’ll give it a spin 😎
  12. Ah right thanks. I’ve never listened to those bands 👍🏻
  13. Who on earth is this dUg character I keep hearing about
  14. I wear mine, it helps me keep time Thank you
  15. That
  16. To an extent, yeah - but it won’t sound like a Zon
  17. And every single person will sound like they’re playing a P bass, despite HOW they play it.
  18. Totally agree @thegummy The way someone plays is quite different from the sound of the bass they play. As demonstrated in this clip. I don’t know why people still say that someone sounds the same regardless of what they play. It’s crazy. Nobody would have more than one bass if they all sounded the same. Nobody would make basses, different pickups, amplifiers, strings, pedals... Just listen to the zon. Then the Dingwall. Yes, what’s being played is similar (it’s the same kind of groove) but the basses sound totally different. Totally! How could they not? If I’m wrong then we’d better contact the thousands of manufacturers and tell them not to worry about their basses, just whack them together and forget about what electronics and woods you use because they all sound the same. Same for amplifier companies - nah don’t worry about what speaker sizes or EQ section, I’ll still sound like me. Strings? Doesn’t matter, I’ll just use pieces of solder instead of Sunbeams, they make no difference. 😂
  19. Yeah fair enough, and that one I sent wasn't the cheapest (they can be had for around £500 in the USA and mine was only £100 shipping (but it hasn't arrived yet lol)) I tend to gamble on buying basses I haven't tried because more often than not the ones I want to try aren't available here. It's worked for me so far! Even if I tried one in a shop I'd have no idea how much I like it until I try it at home properly and set it up for me etc, so buying it that way presents almost as much risk, just easier to send back I guess.
  20. About 20%. I figure if I don't like it, it'll be easy to sell as there aren't many in the UK. As I say these are very consistent unlike Fenders of different vintages and so as long as it works, it'll be great and like the others I've played. The micro tilt neck and bridge allow for a lovely low action.
  21. I'm importing this one as we speak!
  22. That’s true. Well I found you a white and maple one https://reverb.com/item/20618800-g-l-sb-1-1987-pearl-white (can be had much cheaper) Honestly I prefer them to Fender Ps - I’ve only played a couple of older ones but they seem more consistent and with excellent pickups, tilt neck, aluminium scratch plate and nicer bridge etc
  23. I rather like (and just bought) an old G&L Sb-1 which is a pretty nice update to the P bass. Maybe worth a look if you don’t mind something non Fender (although I guess it’s just as much Fender at the end of the day!)
  24. Cheers just ordered some .040s. I use the same gauge in rounds so hopefully they should feel familiar.
  25. Cool, might give ‘em a go, thanks. Do they fall off a cliff sound wise after a while or are they the sort of flats that get better with age? Always feel like hex cores are the former but no direct experience of them
