  1. I have a vovox cable that I was given, yes the price is ridiculous but it’s fantastic, noticeably better than anything else I’ve tried and I definitely didn’t think it would be.

Sorry I’m a bit behind with my marking!
  3. Thanks mate yes I really enjoy playing this bass. Backing off the volume control gives a more vintage flavour I’ll try and record that too at some point.
  4. John Hall is looking well 🤭
  5. Yes Wingbasses are amazing and they don’t just look like a mini bass (like the marleaux) they are more like unique instruments in their own right. I love mine (in my avatar!) However more mini basses on the market is a good thing. Everyone loves them when they try them.
  6. Maybe your amp is the problem? Another thing is your technique, if you know it’s because you’re hitting the A harder maybe you aren’t as comfortable with your fingers slightly more bunched up for the E.. changing your anchor point may help. Try temporarily adding a thumbrest a little above the pickup so your fingers are more extended when hitting the E string?
  7. Saw sting playing one a while back and posted about it here... emailed Mayones but in true Mayones style of not ever answering emails they didn’t answer the email or even a message on FB. Looks good though. Mini basses are taking over!
  8. A compressor could help, but I’d try and diagnose the problem in the bass first. Could it be due to pickup height? String action? Strings?
  9. Just taking this quote out of context 😂
  10. Why not Cobalts? I used to use TI strings and find the lightest gauge Cobalts are even more supple and they sound pretty clangy with the tone control wide open, so should give you that clarity you were missing before...
  11. The bass in the vid is a Tobias
  12. If the bass doesn’t sound ‘good’ flat, a preamp won’t help.
  13. That’s what you think!
  14. Maybe your shady company also intercept and destroy your emails too
  15. OK folks, I've said how it is and that's that - nothing more to discuss! Let's not use this thread to highlight times where comments haven't been helpful, because they represent a massive minority and the whole topic is, as far as I'm concerned, a non-issue. Cheers
  16. Thought so 👍🏻
  17. I don’t think share was ever in that block, just a separate button on the post.
  18. I just logged in as you @Silvia Bluejay and I could see it, may be your browser blocking it or something.
  19. There’s no point in making it compulsory because it would be impossible to enforce. If people want to make selling something more difficult for themselves that’s up to them.. we just provide the platform.
  20. I don’t think we’ve ever had a problem with it. I can recall maybe a handful of times that I’ve had to hide a comment
  21. Great, can you record anything for us to listen to?
  22. Not sure exactly, I never measure anything (except knobs!) but the response is really even. Great sounding pickup.
  23. That’s just a bit of tape to stop me touching them. Was going to use clear nail polish but didn’t get round to it yet 👍🏼
  24. I think they had them but postage was a rip off I ended up getting them on eBay https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F352179961862 Still not cheap but the best I could find! I think they’re 99% right, they don’t quite cover the nut of the pot but near enough 🤙
