  7. Trade offers by PM please only @Roadybus
  8. Hi, you’re not meant to add items to an existing advert - bit late now but please start a new thread for the next bunch. Cheers

  10. Just spoke to Neil, he;s updating the deadline in about 30 mins. Not sure why it closed early but hang in there. Also lots of new acts to be confirmed very soon...

  12. Hi @visog those links take you directly to the discounted tickets, no code needed
  13. No just a spambot - all sorted by the mods, thanks guys.
  14. You might find a used one cheaper - I've never gigged mine but don't think it would be a problem; it's plastic but pretty solid and as long as you set up everything to work for your own situation I think it would be fine.
  15. All I know is I tried the iRig HD2 and there was noticeable latency when slapping or using percussive playing (my finger style tends to have quite a lot of ghosting and percussive element with the right hand) - not noticeable when playing along with something but just about there when solo. The company said there was some, about the same as with a wireless unit so negligible in any situation other than using headphones I should think.
  16. And now you're in the same dilemma as me!! The best quality stuff is mains powered. The battery powered options are either power hungry (Bass Buddy), noisy (Zoom), Crap (Vox), or have no compression (Bighead). To be honest I make do with the Zoom B1on because I don't use it very often and when I do it's generally for playing along with something so the noise isn't an issue. It's also really light and the batteries last for ages especially with the screen light off. It's also mega cheap, so for £20 you really can't complain, it's amazing really.
  17. Just to throw a spanner in the works - consider whether you want something that requires plugging in. Going back to your original post I doubt you’d want to have to move a power adapter about all the time. If you’re going to get something mains powered you might as well have a mixer. Also people rave about the iRig app with an iPad but I’ve always felt there’s too much latency to enjoy it.
  18. I've seen it on another amber coloured series III but not with such a lovely pattern. Magnifique!!
  19. I play through headphones all the time at home (Roland VB99) and have been on the lookout for a portable battery powered equivalent for a while. Noting has worked so far; either they're HiFi and great quality but just clean bass (I'd like to have some comp and reverb too ideally) or they have tons of effects but don't sound great (Zoom B1on which actually sounds great but has a fair bit of noise even with everything off, behind the notes as they decay (digital artefact?)). Maybe I'm spoiled by my main rig but I'd like to think there's something or that someone will make one one day!!
  20. Very nice indeed - love the finish and wood grain on the amber bass.
  21. Modify, absolutely. Some people might talk about resale value etc etc but at the en dog the day it could make it the ultimate bass for you, so what do you care! Especially as there's been some work on it already so it's not 100% original, which for some is a key sticking point.
  22. I remain unconvinced that a B string needs to be over 34" to sound great.
