1. Anything giving you discomfort just cut it off, you don't have to take that crap from inferior bodyparts! Away with them! Or see your md, up to you.
2. Your setup benefits from a short speaker cable, the amp will have to work too hard to push enough current through a long lead to drive the speakers. Resistance will skyrocket oversuch a lenght I think.
3. Get the rest of the band this, he'll be thrilled: http://www.tshirthell.com/funny-shirts/sorry-girls-the-drummer-is-gay/?fdo=&productid=630&style=a&color=2%3A+CHOOSE+COLOR&size=3%3A+CHOOSE+A+SIZE&stype=&is_fivestar=
4. Grip-ex .88 from IntuneGP for me. Used to be .83 but they stopped making those, these are better
5. Im just looking for a good backup for my SR5. The cabbie is just here for fun ^_^
6. Her tits have turned black and she's sprouted a beard. Pass!
7.
if you put it in a rack, you can't use it for warming that all important set break croisssant - and then where will you be when hunger strikes during the 3rd song of set 2??????
This may be the next revolution in proffessional equipment! Add a stainless steel tray to your amp enclosure for that all-important grilled cheese sandwich or eggs over easy! Relax and enjoy while vocals and guitar quibble over who gets the blowdryer next! Croque Monsieur? Don't mind if I do says drums!
8. These look like 4 strings though? Best double check if they do a five in that colour.
9. I recently found a new trace gp12x pre. Only used it once so far, but it offers many different ways to shape your tone.
10. Always sits safely in the hardcase, never a problem. Also, it's never made new strings sound brighter in my experience. It does keep my strings in 'like new' condition for longer.
11. Try a MM SUB or Sterling by Musicman version if you're on a budget.
12. Maybe the people at koch amps (no relation) can help you: http://www.koch-amps.com/support.html
13. I just wandered in off the street. What's this all about then?
14. Never used flats. All my strings get a rub down with fast fret from first use onwards.
15. We're aiming at a march release. I'd categorise it as 'homebrew thrash metal' Afaik I've never had to play other peoples music back to them, and hope I never will.
16. Dig in to the huge variety of shortscale basses and see what triggers your GAS. There are so many wild designs that people will only envy you for playing something unique (ish)
17.
Thrailer Thrash
WTH Bert! That's the title for my upcoming ep! Edit: though I keep hearing Daffy Duck say it.
18. @OP: Low efficiency and at 56hz quite a high frequency rolloff. I doubt it's any good for metal.
19.
The best sound I heard from an SR5 was an HH with Piezo bridge. That sounded very meaty and had a flexible range of tones.
There's a thought, add a humbucker around the P spot. Nordstrand for instance, very powerful dark tone.
20. Bills. That's ok though, can't pay them anyway =)
