IEMs have a different job than earplugs do. A perfect seal isn't required to hear something, but it is necessary to reliability reduce sound pressure levels. Some brands, like Alpine, have pro shops where they can measure if your protectors are seating properly.

But at least they give an indication although one Of wouldn't take too literally. Whichever plugs you get, make sure they're seated properly and avoid leakage, if that happens they're useless while you think you're protected.

The 200w is pretty anaemic for a full metal outfit. I'd look towards 500-600watt total so neither amp or cabs are doing heavy lifting. If it were me I'd search for a nice 212, can always add the tens for very big stages.

Its loudness is dependent on the sensitivity and output of your cab. I have the of 20t and tested it on a 102dB/1w 4x12. It fell just short in a metalband setting with loud drumbeast and 2 standard guitarists going in 100w tube amps. The 50t might have pulled through there. Just saying that the amp is not the only factor in the signal chain.

I would love a Mesa studio tube amp to blow away the pf20t/50t b15 or ashdown little b@stard. A 40+ (instead of 400+)would be perfect for home practice, small pub gigs or studios. Matching/flip top 1x12?
