Ordered one from Andertons this week, don’t know when it’ll arrive? Apparently I’m 6th on the waiting list. Tried one in guitar guitar a couple of years ago and liked it, but only just got round to ordering one.

I seen Bill Bailey last night. Comedic content and must have played a over a dozen different instruments. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Was worth the wait, loved it and hope they do it again.

Got tickets for this Wednesday at the Usher Hall, can’t wait. 👍

Last night, wasn’t my best. First time out of my bed for nearly two weeks, after contracting Covid and we hadn’t rehearsed for over a month, due to others having covid. Crowd seemed enthusiastic though and guys had a good time. My voice has gone and not proud of some videos that I’ve seen today of my singing. But looking forward to future, first time we’ve had the same drummer for two gigs in a row, which will bring stability, hopefully.

Only had one problem with them and they fixed it there and then. Placed an order and paid for two 15” sub’s and they were on back order. Waited and they came back in and nothing, for weeks. Phoned and they said they were showing stock and I should have been sent the order, no reason why I hadn’t had the shipped already, but we’re sent out that day. Had a few orders before and after that have went ok.

I try and check most days. Had disappointment last month and it was my own fault, posted that if it was still there on payday, I’d buy it. Was sold a couple of hours later, should have kept my mouth shut. 🤣 Anyone else read the forum from the bottom up, like me, leaving the basses to last? Kinda build up in budget expectations, look at multiple cheaper items, so an expensive purchase doesn’t seem so bad?

My tickets have arrived for Nick Masons Saucerful of Secrets in Edinburgh for the 4th of May. Can’t remember the last time I had a ticket posted out to me?

Last night was the Horse & Jockey in Lanark again. Forth gig in a row and four drummers, so it’s all getting a wee bit Spinal Tap. Song we done off the cuff, Hard to Handle, went better than some we’d rehearsed. But the one we’d rehearsed to death, Asia with Heat of the Moment, nearly fell apart. 🙄 Nice crowd and all good fun, so we’re booked to go back at the end of April.

Bought a cab from Pete, perfect gentleman through and through. 👍

I was 500 yards away watching The Mighty Jerusalem Harpoons. Fantastic band and all brilliant musicians too ( one of the guitarist vocalists is Big Vern from Big Vern and the Shootas ).

I’m going to see them this time next month in Glasgow, quite looking forward to it.

Wee Ted is on in a couple of weeks, guitarist in my band is bass player in Ted’s. Would be good to catch up. 👍

My second post lockdown gig last night and we had to ship in a stand in drummer. Drummer who played the whole of the 90’s with me and after two rehearsals, was a dream to play with. He didn’t have a drum kit, so we asked a friend if we could borrow one of his spare (this is a true story), so he had one delivered for us, white Sonor kit, along with a selection of brand new cymbals. We then get a photo of the last owner of the kit, while it was on tour with Iron Maiden. 😳 Have to say, it was the best sounding drum kit that has ever graced the Horse & Jockey in Lanark. 😳 Couldn’t get a decent sound in the first set and couldn’t hear a thing on stage, but got better as the night went on. Was a good night though and looking forward to next years gigs now.

When’s the next time your playing there, would love to come over and see someone play there. Few friends play there and we’ll be looking for more venues for gigs in the new year, so would be curious about the setup. 👍
