I may have made a major mistake yesterday. I had a vaccination yesterday morning, nothing I haven’t had half a dozen time over the last few years. Anyway, I think you know where this is going, lost the use of my right upper arm and was in quite extreme discomfort all evening, leaving the strap fully extended and my bass round my knees. 🙄 I can only put the change in the effect on my arm to some significant weight loss over the last six months. Needle must have went further into my muscle?

I’ll keep getting the guitarist to use it at rehearsal and I’ll use it as a monitor at gigs I think. Thanks guys.

Swapped them over and it appears to be working ok. Got the guitarist to use it tonight at rehearsal as I’d rather it didn’t blow up in the house. Only thing I’m wondering is, the Behringer driver has, very clearly, 4 ohm stamped on it and when measured was exactly that. The driver that came out of the Headrush has no markings and was reading 2.2 ohm on the same meter that I measured the other driver on. What is the correct impedance of the 12” headrush driver? I’ve googled and can’t find anything. 🙄 Sorry for hijacking the OP’s thread.

Resurrecting this in the hope that the OP tried something? I’ve got a Headrush 112 that I’m pretty sure the speaker is perforated, but powers up and gives some great distortion and a behringer DR112 that won’t power on. Rather than go to the garage and get tools out, I thought I’d ask those much more intelligent than myself, if it’s worth while swapping the speaker? Thanks in advance.

Last gig of the year last night, playing an Ibanez I bought from a BassChatter. My appetite for doing Hogmanay/New Year gigs has long since gone, so next gig is the end of January. Great fun, busy with plenty friends in, everyone seemed to enjoy it and bookings for next year too.

GUN at the Barrowlands tonight. I’m designated driver, again, so will be a wee bit more attentive than I am other gigs.

Australian Pink Floyd last night in Glasgow, for the third year in a row. Will be going again next year, if they’re coming to Scotland. If you like Pink Floyd, then these guys are as close as you’ll get.

Third year in a row I’ve seen the Australian Pink Floyd, in Glasgow again tonight.

There is a 15” one for sale as spares or repairs on eBay, which powers up, but has another intermittent fault. Wondering if it’s the same PSU?

Had a good look, even got my magnifying glass out, but can’t see anything. 🙄 Looks like it’s going to end up a passive speaker? 🤷‍♂️

The first guy I gave it too had the schematic and tried all he can. I then sent it to the electronics expert, who is currently giving some pretty high profile bands gear the once over before going on a world tour and he said he couldn’t find a failed component, or get Behringer to supply him with spares. 🙄

Fuse in and powered up, completely dead display and no power led, but 240v on both the boards. What am I missing? 🙄

Straightened now and will pop a fuse in after dinner. 👍

It looks like the Amazon link in the video is out of stock? But gives an idea to search for, if it’s of any use?

Had this with an old router, right before it packed in. 🙄 I’ve got a new one and no spare, but can plug the MacBook direct into the XR18 and still get control without the router, in an emergency. I think I saw a video about a cable that can connect your iPad direct too?

Found the fuse missing and one of the lugs bent over. 🙄 Clearly not going to work like that.

Maybe posting the module down would be cheaper than posting the whole speaker? 🤔

I’ve got it back now, still unrepaired, so I’ll take pictures this weekend. Apparently the power module has failed and Behringer won’t supply one to anyone, but told me to contact an authorised repairer. Bought a new one a couple of weeks ago, went to use it last night for the first time and the handle snapped off. 🙄

Had a very good chat with the guys in the new band. We had an offer of a gig pretty soon and spent an hour of rehearsal regurgitate 20 odd songs we all knew, just to do the gig. Then one of guys asked why we are doing all the same stuff again? A decision was made that we continue with our ideal setlist and not do a gig until we’re ready for it.

Booked it in today at Fretronics in Glasgow, been told they’re reliable and very good with these sorts of things. Will update on what they say when I hear back. 👍

Had a 20 year gap, thought I’d never be involved in live music again. Done sound for a friends band and agreed to help for a charity gig, which gave me the bug again. Somehow ended up with a cover band which I got landed with everything and I don’t understand how? I own the van, the PA, book the gigs and organise rehearsals. Recently been asked to “just play bass” for another band who’ve lost their bass player and haven’t gigged for 4/5 years. I’m being handed songs I’ve never heard before, or songs I thought I’d never play and loving it. Sometimes it’s just about circumstance and what you get from it?
