    My crafted in Japan, Geddy Lee is my number one and can’t remember using anything else to gig in the last five years? There are about a dozen other basses in the house, but most any of them make is a rehearsal.

    Great wee two hour set in Paisley last night, was home before the Chinese takeaway shut too, which isn’t the norm these days. But two hours right through, without a break, isn’t what I’m used to anymore and suffering today. Had fun though and doing PA for a friend today, so need to unload the van again tonight.

    All my knowledge of them came from a five watt world video, I’m easily persuaded when it comes to trying new gear. Unfortunately my bank balance doesn’t allow me to keep up that practice. 🙄

    I’m not an expert, bought this one on a whim and liked it so much I bought another. But I wouldn’t describe it as a chunky neck though? It’s nearer my Jazz dimensions than my precision’s dimensions ( I think anyway ). Not got enough experience to tell if the sound compares to the “real” one or not, sorry.

    You can have my twin humbucker to try for a wee while if you want? I liked it, coming from my Geddy Lee main gigging bass, but not made a full transition yet.

    Sad story, I might have tried this but my luthier passed away suddenly last weekend. Wee Tam set up all my basses during lockdown and we had a few ongoing plans for various basses. Anyway, he did make me laugh and we’ll always have the time he lost his teeth trying something new.

    I actually got a blue burst 2HH at the tail end of last year, which is why I’m selling this one. I wish I could keep both, but…….. trying hard to reverse my GAS. 🤣

    Music Man Sterling StingRay in cream. 4 string with single humbucker. Bought new from Guitar Guitar just over a year ago and still has the cellophane on the pick guard. I can’t find any marks on it, been hanging on the wall in the house and played very, very little. Loved it so much, I bought another and now need to move one on. Pickup in Lanark, additional £25 posted in the original box it came in from Guitar Guitar ( so will be obvious what’s delivered if someone else in the house is there ).

    Last minute gig at a new venue for us last night ( The Cave in Paisley ). We had a booking for the same venue for next month and we hadn’t rehearsed this year. I know a few of you on here have played it, but what is that load in all about. 🙄 Loved the gig, crowd loved us and we already had another booking, but the load in and load out and wracked my already old and decrepit body. 🤣

    I’ve got tickets for the Hollywood Vampires, 12th of July in Glasgow. Support is The Tubes and Rick Anderson, bass player, passed away. 😢

    I took me an hour to drive to Douglas to get the sax player, after her Range Rover cut out after driving through a flood. Van went on fire on Tuesday, with smoke coming out from under the bonnet, so had to get it fixed (new alternator). Then it was leaking more oil than the Exxon Valdez, and needs to go back in for more repairs. So was a hell of a week building up to it, but hope you make one next year, would be good to catch up again. 👍

    Played the local Horse & Jockey last night. At least two other band sitting watching, which always gets the adrenaline pumping. Punters really enjoyed it, it is a cramped wee stage. Always a good night, just wish the place was bigger. Here’s to 2023 and the gigs that’ll bring, hope everyone has a good one.

    I will need closure on this, this evening, or I won’t be able to sleep thinking about how it went. 🤣 But been there and done that, next thing the nice guys are phoning and talking me round and I stayed, although with a different attitude to some of horse sh*t that goes on. 🙄

    A private function in a local hotel venue. Kinda weird when no one dances for the first set, as some people caught up after 30 years on seeing each other. Got better in the second half, set list went out the window, but the buffet was a highlight. 🤣 Off on two weeks holiday, so no rehearsals, let’s see how much I remember after two weeks on Pina Coladas. 😳

    Exactly what I have and it’s fantastic. Complete plug and play for each instrument, which helps beginners, as well as saving time for experienced engineers. Also the ability to give everyone else control, with an iPad, over their own monitor mix should not be underestimated. 🤣 Good luck with the sale. 👍
