  1. Nothing beats 25 years natural wear on a 25 year old bass - my Squier Japenese Silver Series.
  2. Not MFD pick ups in the LB-100 - alnico v-split coils.
  3. G&L say "same spec but made overseas" - unfortunate!!!
  4. Yes, the white/black with rosewood fretboard is 449 from Andertons. Done in 3 colourways. https://www.andertons.co.uk/lb-series-basses/g-l-tribute-lb-100-bass-in-olympic-white-3-ply-black-pickguard-vintage-tint-gloss-neck-with-brazilian-cherry-fingerboard
  5. Presume the Tribute versions of these use the same US fixtures and fittings as the Fullerton ones - in a similar way to L2000's do? GASsing for one of the LBs!!!
  6. Fender jazz modern players made in China?
  7. Thanks for that. Thought £450 was a bit high for a used one. Anyone owned one? What was your impression of it tone and playability wise?
  8. Anyone know what these retailed for please. Ltd edition of a Mex Std.

  10. D cabs are either US made or more recently built in the Marshall factory here. Great cabs the Ds and what a bargain price. Run mine on top of a Metro combo and sounds sublime.
  11. Fortunate to be in a band with two great guys and my guitarist son, so 4-3-0-0
  12. Bought a Peavey head from Dan. Straight forward sale and head carefully wrapped and arrived in perfect condition and within one day. Thanks Deedee.
  13. Active black and passive red. Red one sometimes wears flats as both sound so similar with rounds on them. Heafty-sounding basses.
  14. https://www.gearnews.com/namm-2019-squier-overhauls-classic-vibe-series/?fbclid=IwAR2695icsjO-W75daV40TU4LPlKc2rehHuB8TBe17lM5AH01976n1VbTvv8 These seem to be budget CVs (similar to VMs) made now in Indonesia so maybe not the quality and playability of the supurb Chinese range.
  15. Pleased you're still enjoying it. Of my Sq CVs, I'm just left with a CV jazz in silver with an almost ebony-coloured board. Its going nowhere.
  16. Go down the G&L L2000 route if you like the two soapbar layout
  17. SVT II non-pro. Heavy, yes, but a tone monster - Ooooooohhhh yes!!! The 30Kg lift is worth it!!
  18. Radcliffe,Mcconie or both together. Gutted they have left the afternoon slot
  19. Hunt out a passive USA SUB - no disernable difference in tone from an active version but far more user-freindly as regards controling its "zingyness"
