YES - use a 60s CV P-bass for 50% of our set and a US Musicman Sub for the other half. The Sq. really does do the job just as well as the M. and have no problem with the name on the headstock. Also it was a complete bargain which makes me feel even more smug when it sounds so crisp and punchy through my Eden Metro and D210 cab.
Very much an every-other weekend warrior. Son in the band also (youngest member) playing guitar and me at 57, playing anthems and indie floorfillers. Bloody love it and takes my mind off being a self-employed shop owner in this online world!!
Hi all - a new name to me. Has anyone any good or bad experiences of using their BC range incorporating Eminence custom speaker / drivers.
Thanks in anticipation, Paddy.
Have traded an item for a bass which has strings fitted with silver ball ends and red silks at the bridge and with blue silks at the headstock. Can anyone ID these strings for me please?
Regards all, Paddy.
I would tell them you will do the one-off gig for 2x what you usually get from a gig and then walk away - or just advise them you're not available any more for that one-off. Bloody cheek!!
Think I must be odd as I use thumb on 95% of set and pick just on 1or 2 songs. Any other mainly "thumbers" out there.
As for pick, using both up and down strokes gives me the speed of note neccessary for anything Ive ever played.
Hi - now that he's sent me a back of headstock pic I have the serial number. It originally came with a black scratchplate but the present owner bought it as is. We are trading this coming weekend. Thanks all, Paddy.
Thanks guys. Yes I found that at g4m too. Tugbar missing on the one ive been offered but if the drill holes are under the pick guard then that will confirm. Cheers, Paddy
Hi - been offered this bass in a trade. Described as a CV model but I cant find another one like it unless its has a change of scratch plate. Anyone confirm it is as described? Back of headstock photo being sent to me tomorrow.
Thanks all, Paddy.
Never had a high-end rig but this Eden set-up couldn't possibly be beaten for a budget rig - £250 for combo AND extension cab together!! 115 driver swapped out for a Celestian before I bought it but otherwise as it left the factory in 2001.
