  1. Snap - 2011 and absolutely as new. Scratchplate swapped from black by previous owner. Unquestionably, a high quality instrument.
  2. I would tell them you will do the one-off gig for 2x what you usually get from a gig and then walk away - or just advise them you're not available any more for that one-off. Bloody cheek!!
  3. Think I must be odd as I use thumb on 95% of set and pick just on 1or 2 songs. Any other mainly "thumbers" out there. As for pick, using both up and down strokes gives me the speed of note neccessary for anything Ive ever played.
  4. Hi - now that he's sent me a back of headstock pic I have the serial number. It originally came with a black scratchplate but the present owner bought it as is. We are trading this coming weekend. Thanks all, Paddy.
  5. Thanks guys. Yes I found that at g4m too. Tugbar missing on the one ive been offered but if the drill holes are under the pick guard then that will confirm. Cheers, Paddy
  6. Hi - been offered this bass in a trade. Described as a CV model but I cant find another one like it unless its has a change of scratch plate. Anyone confirm it is as described? Back of headstock photo being sent to me tomorrow. Thanks all, Paddy.

  9. Each speaker is 8 ohms so it runs at 4 ohms in total. Paddy.
  10. Never had a high-end rig but this Eden set-up couldn't possibly be beaten for a budget rig - £250 for combo AND extension cab together!! 115 driver swapped out for a Celestian before I bought it but otherwise as it left the factory in 2001.
  11. It's not had a bid yet - strange that!!!
  12. Oh yes - brain fade!! Anyway I knew it was at a safe level of impedance. Used to ABY a TE head and a Laney head into two different cabs (10's and a 15) with eq's set to different settings and mix the two to give me my overall sound. My son has a Fender Ramparte for his six string guitars which has a cool and a hot channel and borrows my Fender ABY pedal to mix his sound . I wondered if I could do the same with the Metro. Thanks and regards, Paddy.
  13. Hi Mycola - all 3 speakers (2x10 and 115) are rated 8 ohm EACH. Regards, Paddy
  14. Hi all - just a quick one. Running the above Metro with a Mesa Powerhouse 115. Is it feasable to use an ABY and safely use the Y for both channels together. 2x10" 8 ohm Eden speakers and 8 ohm Mesa running at 3.67ohms in total through each channel independantly. Thanks and regards, Paddy.
  15. One of these? https://www.mansons.co.uk/product/fender-modern-player-short-scale-jazz-bass-rosewood-fingerboard-candy-apple-red-6703
  16. Squier Classic Vibe P bass black/maple for sale somewhere on Fbk on a bass players site.If its anything like the quality of my sons CV Tele it will be as good or better then most Fender Mexican Ps Its on Bass Players Market UK at £180!!!
  17. Sorry to hijack but can I ask what strings you guys have on your US Subs. Had mine 8 months and put DR Hibeams on but not really happy with the lack of "grunt". Use DR Sunbeams on my G&L and Ric. Thanks all. Regards.
  18. Can I ask if this was suitable for the purchaser's Fender bass. If not I would be interested in it for my M/man. Thanks and regards, Paddy.
  19. Hi - fairly mighty!!! I use a Fender ABY box to also play thru a smaller 12"/150 watt combo (with eq set fairly trebly) with the valve preamp just going into the TE head and mesa cab at a higher volume for a more dirty sound. The combination comes across really well. Loved it!!! Regards, Paddy.
