  2. I quote :- "No, it was £450 originally , now reduced to £399 Paddy" Haha. We should all try to get it for £250 - he'd wonder what was goin on!!! Paddy.

  5. I really like the look - its certainly a one-off - at present. I have a blueburst L2000 and asked when buying if G&l supplied scratch-plates. They don't. Can I ask where Mr Mcnach had this one made up please. I was going to go for a clear one just for protection but what colour would suit the b/b? Paddy.
  6. Godda be Peavey USA Furys ( or Furies?)!! £130 - super slim jazz neck - good tone and output from its P pups and a good looker too!! 1983 but feels and plays like brand new. Paddy.
  7. Bump from a G&L L2000 user - would compliment my present main bass with flats on one or the other but do I NEED it?
  8. The drummer in Squeeze is Simon Hanson. Originally from Lincolnshire, he and I played in a band together in 1979? called Delusion. He was 16 and I was 18. Since then he has gone on to make his living from session work etc. I on the the other hand haven't!! Paddy.
  9. Bought a Peavey Fury from Paul with ease. As described, perfectly set up and arrived very well packaged. No-one could want for more. Thanks again. Paddy515
  10. Question answered - thank you very much!! Paddy
  11. Hi everyone. Question requiring some help please - a T.E. head with two 8 ohm speaker outputs - can I safely run a 115 8 ohm from one and a 410 8 ohm from the other or should I stick to using one output only and daisychaining the cabs together? Thanks in advance for any reply. Paddy.
  12. Thanks Shaggy - both need some fettling but will be well worth doing in the end. The Kasuga takes me back to '79 when I had a Shaftesbury in blonde. Think the quality will be superior with this one though Good job 98% of the buyers there yesterday were only after antique furniture and the like. The only other bidder didn't really know what these were!! Paddy.
  13. Added - sorry if against rules!! Cost all of £40 - something of a bargain I would say!! Paddy.
  14. NBD - Picked up in a saleroom today held at a local cricket club together with a Kasugu "you know what" copy. Couldn't beleive my eyes when I went to viewing yesterday evening.Didn't look like this when in the saleroom mind otherwise it may have gone for a lot more than £70!!! Feels nice in the hands and as if its about to float away any second!!! Will post a piccy of the Kasugu if the admins advise me its OK to do so. Paddy.[attachment=192087:astoria.jpg]
  15. Hi - have you thought of the Jaguar bass shape. I have just acquired a Modern Player CiC which has the 38mm wide neck at the nut and the P /J pup configuration. Great feel to the neck and great sound with just the P pup. Kind of surprised by the overall quality and does the Precision job just fine
  16. Made the purchase of a Fender Jaguar bass - price was negotiated and said bass arrived in double quick time and very well packaged. Overall an ultra smooth transaction . Thank you very much. Paddy515.
  17. Try it on Gtree and preluv telling prospective buyers the original price it cost you and the benifits of owning such a versatile bass. These are still on sale from UK dealers at much higher price so put a link to the highest you can find. Regards Paddy.
  18. Sorry to advise but I bought one of these belters just before Christmas for silly money from the German firm!! That's got to affect their re-sale value and what they fetched in the middle of last year won't be what may be achievable now. Just making you aware as to maybe why you are not getting any response to your listing. Best regards Paddy.

  20. Always try to catch Limehouse Lizzy when they come close to home - Wayne and the boys pay a fabulous tribute to THE man and his music!!
