1.
Does your singer understand beats and bars?
This.
2. The John Patitucci model is really excellent, but I prefer the through-necked TRB6P. I used to own a very early one in red, bought off a guy on here, and now owned by Kevin Glasgow. I just prefer thru-necked instruments.
3.
Ok, you can play, but can you teach? Big difference.
Erm...yes!
4. I had one of these. Fantastic pedals!
5. It's the mids that give clarity to your sound, and will enable it to be heard. The whole band turning down a notch or 2 can help in boomy rooms too.
6.
That digitech obscura is good, and cheap compared to a lot of options.
Ooh, lo-fi. I like that, interesting, thanks .
7.
Another Flashback or Flashback Mini? I am sure they would have a reverse delay toneprint,,,or you could make one with the editor. The toneprint function really make those pedal hard to beat IMHO.
There is a reverse setting, it's actually quiet nice, and using the editor you can totally remove the clean sound. I was just really after another pedal with a 'different flavour' I guess.
8. Must be a small pedal though. I've considered the Line 6 DL4 and the Memory man, but they're a little too big really. I'm looking to keep the size down. I've already got a Flashback that's great, but I want another delay to go after that, and my reverbs, the idea being that the phrase that's being reversed is the processed sound from them. I should say that I don't lie Boss pedals, so that discounts the DD7. Any suggestions would be most welcome .
9.
Excellent price!!
Excellent pedal .
10.
Just don't get this "owned by (insert famous name)" guff. It's a mass produced instrument. The magic was in JJ's fingers and brain, not a piece of wood with bits of metal stretched along its length. JJ would have made magic with a Satellite copy. The only good thing is that a famous player's family sometimes gets to make a bit out of these sales. Other than that, it's bullshit.
Exactly. There's more to sounding like someone than owning the same bass.
11. What a great guy! Roman replied to a wanted advert of mine, and sold me a really excellent reverb pedal. Highly recommended. .
12. Like new. A really nice distortion pedal. In like new condition. Price includes next day delivery.
13. 1970's jazz to start with, mainly due to a guy that taught me for a couple of years, he was really into Jaco and that. Then I discovered solo bass, and Steve Lawson particularly, and realised just what a tremendously versatile instrument the bass was.
14.
Nice. I particularly liked 04-22. Very soothing.
Thanks . There's lots of new stuff on my Soundcloud page. I also recently played a couple of gigs in Paris, there's recordings of those, and also some videos on my Youtube page.
15. I have a new record released on vinyl. It can be ordered here: http://store.championversion.com/album/04-19-22-23-29
16. There's a solo bassist I know uses one when he's tapping, I guess it's for when he's playing open strings.
17.
Hi, how do you get a refund - what did you say to your bank ? I also paid by credit card with zero delivery. Thanks
Just phone them. There should be a section that deals with problems like this. I had a problem with a company a couple of years ago. I'm with Natwest, I had to send them screenshots of my correspondence etc. I got the refund within a week.

I used to use two, they're fine with bass, even when using an ebow for deep synth like pads.
19. In excellent condition, complete with box and toneprint cable. £50 plus £5 for next day special delivery.
20. That's a bargain!!!
21. I use Skype for teaching. It's fine for that, but there is a slight delay.
22.
Haha.... "Rhythmstick" album. It don't get any better than that. Sitting, standing. I think AJ can play standing on his head.
I'm sure I once heard that Al Jarreau sacked him for not standing.
23.
I'm also not impressed with any bedroom clip or any bass players sitting down playing along to a click or recording. You have to be standing up playing live in a band with other musicians to impress me. Blue
The standing up is really important is it?
