G.A.S is and always will be a problem! I have gone through many boards in the past years and even when I think that I have managed to be happy, something new pops out or I get involved in a new project and I have to re-design it all again. I like it, it is a fun process.

+1 for the Phat Phuk B. It has an internal trim pot to tailor the breakup/dirt you get out of the pedal. Amazing piece of gear, I had a phase were I only used this pedal straight into the amp and always on. It makes my bass sound much better and it has only 1 knob! YAY! Kev is right. The B7K will be too aggressive in comparison to the BDDI. The Vintage is a good option.

I do prefer the second demo though (Pro Guitar Shop) That Ibanez sure sounds amazing and the intro is killer. The first demo sounds a bit too weak IMO, but for 60 quid and with the sound of the first demo... you cannot go wrong.

Never tried the Strymon, but I can say that the Neunaber is an awesome piece of gear.

I have one of these and it is an awesome bass for the money.

Great amp the Little Rocker 500! With the filter controls and the valve gain you can achieve some really cool sounds. Good luck with your search.

B3K all the way unless you need your overdriven/distorted sound heavily EQ'd, then the B7K is the one you need. Both are great pieces of gear. Regarding amp's to pair up with the B3K, I think that the pedal adds to your core tone so any good amp will work IMO. I mainly use the B3K with a Markbass Little Rocker 500 + Aguilar DB112's setup and it is a killer.

The Neunaber stuff is pretty awesome too, both the Wet Reverb and the Seraphim (shimmer) are killer. I tried an older version of the Wet on bass and really enjoyed it. The Mr. Black stuff looks amazing too, great reverb units. I would not know which one to choose from between the Neunaber and Mr. Black offerings...

There is not much info about it on bass out there, or at least a good quality demo. Just thought that The Bit Commander could be a really cool and versatile octave pedal. With -2, -1, +1 and the drive section the combos are plenty.

Does it work with a power supply? I have the EBS (True Bypass model) but I have never powered via battery. Bongo from the Ovnilab website does mention in his review of the older models that they tend to go a bit dodgy over time and tend to start failing.

I do not own the Basswitch personally, but looking at the pics I am guessing that both channels are affected by the same volume knob at the input stage. If your electric and upright have the same levels, i.e electric Pickup and the Realist, you should be able to use the Boost to get your piezo up to matching levels. For doubling, I use the Radial Bassbone (older version). It has 2 separate volumes (cut only, it does not boost the signal) for each channel and I can use the boost (switchable) to match up my volumes or give me some extra volume for soloing if needed.

For micro comps, the only one I think is worth checking is the Fairfield "The accountant". Bongo at Ovnilab was impressed and it also gives you some dirt when set right. I am personally quite happy with my EBS Multicomp, simple and fattening. I have tried to find a used 3Leaf PWNZR but they are so hard to find around here... that would be a cool option too.

Always wanted to try one of these. I saw a demo on YouTube and it seemed like a very interactive pedal as all the sections affect the others.

Radial has the Bassbone. The newer version has 2 separate chanels (with separate EQ), boost,OD and DI. I use the older model without OD and it is a lovely piece of gear. A bit expensive, but it certainly is a swiss army knife for any situation.
