1. That's stunning! Tobias' have the most gorgeous necks too, good luck with the sale, i wish i could afford her!
2. Lovely bass, and yeah they are VERY rare. Get one of the new orange swirl pickguards on that baby, that would look sweet! pic btw:
3. hmm, i may be looking for a new rig in a few months. 115s aren't really my bag, not enough definition in the ones i've tried. Thinking maybe ashdown ABM, cheapy ampeg or GAK 700RB II into a 410 or something... And seymour duncans have nice cleans
4.
Missed it by seconds!!! I'm going to track him down and feed him his amp.
That's gotta hurt!!!! For both you and him!!
5. nice price on that tobias mate, pretty much what i got for my bubinga 5 string one but mine had the stock bridge and a hardcase.
6. holy crap, nice rig!!! Love the RR5 there. Also, how is the ashdown?
7. nice grain on that, is it a veneer or is it like that all the way through? Also, the warmoth still looks more bling
8.
sounds like a power supply problem -- is it a 50Hz or 100Hz hum? most likely either a loose or faulty filtering capacitor, although it could be other things. times like this it's handy to have an oscilloscope the good news is it should be fairly simple (read: cheap) to fix.
good to know, though i'm not too sure what pitch the hum is, i don't fancy leaving it on long enough to find out (it's VERY loud), but it seems higher than 100hz? not sure tbh
9. that looks pretty cool, any closeups of the finish? is it satin or gloss? looks very satiny... how did you do it?
10. different lead, still no change
11. yeah might as well, aint gonna void any warranty i guess EDIT: just opened it up, not really any dust to speak of and without knowing what i might be looking for, no blown componentry, fuses all intact, no loose wires or anything...
12. hmm, i don't think it's that, the fan turns on as soon as you turn the amp on i think EDIT: can't even ring ashdown until tuesday now, argh!
13. nah he moved the thread for me, i put it in amps for sale by accident! amp still fooked
14. cheers for moving the thread!
15. I have an ashdown EB180 head wih MAG 210T and 115 cabs. Basically, i just went to turn it on just now and there was a faint buzzing sound, then it just got deafeningly loud. I've turned the gain and master volume down, still doing it, removed the guitar lead, still doing it, checked each cab separately, still doing it. So, any insight as to what may be the problem? I don't have a clue, and i really REALLY don't have the cash to get it fixed. f***. EDIT: ta for moving CK
16.
Deputy, standing in for someone when they have a holiday/women troubles/drinking problem!
ah ok, i knew what a dep did, i just had no idea what the word actually meant!
17. nice one waiting for pics! also what does dep mean? i've been trying to figure it out but i really can't
18. mm, love to slap some emgs and an mec pre in that sucker! Indeed, wenge was the wod of choice for early warwick necks, looked nicer than ovangkol too, but i'm not complaining!
19. i really need shot of this guys, if you know anybody after a guitar amp, tell them, please!
20. to be fair, 4 out of the 6 are fairly collectable! nice collection though there
21.
You still selling yours Budget Bassist?
That went a long time ago matey I'm sure i told you?
22.
Not always. It's taken me three years to build up 19 feedbacks. I only sell stuff here and there, and I think it's been a year since I last sold stuff. The ad looks legit enough, plus it's collection in person so I assume he'd take cash on collection.
It's taken me two years to get just over 30 feedback, some of us just don't use it all that often! (and some people don't leave feedback )
23. hi mate, just thought i'd correct you on the tobias, the pickups aren't active, it's the preamp that's active. Active pickups are pretty rare. Common mistake that, good luck with the auctions anyways mate
