1.
Indeed sorted. There's a man who has got it right - a 4x10 rig without the hassle factor when it comes to moving! I'm in that club and loving it!
Aye i'm thinking of doing that, my 115 just doesn't cut it
2. I have no idea what that is, but i do know that it's one of the ugliest pieces of crap i've ever laid my eyes on (IMHO of course )
3. I'd like to slap some darkstars in a jazz Can't wait to see the project as you start getting it done though!
4.
the newer musicman's (musicmen?) have the waxy kinda finish to them, which i aint that keen on as i find it makes the neck kinda sticky. i think you'd be lookin at late eighties/early nineties for a gloss finished neck?
I actually like it (FWIW it's bare wood treated with gunstock oil), i think gloss feels stickier to me, but that's just me.
5. never noticed this thread before. I had a go on your bass while it was in music inn, lovely bass i thought, played very nicely and sounded ace! Are the tuners really plastic though??
6. That sucks, i hate thieves, i'll keep an eye out.
No serial or discernable features?
Yeah it's a zebrana streamer!
7. Aye i wouldn't touch that, looks like a total POS to me.
8.
Sold to Beedster pending the usual stuff
Can't say i'm surprised!
9. I can't help you but that bass is a BEAUT!
10. +1, the se custom is a really nice guitar, some people hate them and some love them, personally i think they sound ace and play beautifully The same can be said for this however, someone buy it!
11. wow, nice one!
12. They're about £400 new, and i tell you what, i wouldn't pay that for a bad copy of a ricky either!
13. I reckon it's your VST instruments, it's all well and good having midi on cubase, but midi is just a way of controlling something, not a sound. Have you set up a VST instrument? If you don't know how to do that, press F11, choose a VST instrument, a synth or whatever. Then what you do is, select your midi track (the track itself, not the midi notes) and on the left should be a load of info and stuff, and among that there should be input: and output:. at this stage input doesn't matter, but select output and from the drop down menu select the instrument you just created. Then select the instrument track, and this time set the output to stereo out or whatever you want it to come out on. If you've selected a preset sound on the synth then it should make noise. If that's the problem of course, but i suspect that's what it may be.
14.
You can put that down to the rose-tinted Fender Vintage Madness that seems to be prevailing at the moment.
Hasn't it been like that for some time though?
15. sweet, all black precisions/jazzes look fantastic with ashtrays!
16. What he said, you've gotta have a bass you love playing or you won't be excited to play it! The band thing is true too. If you have some stuff that you HAVE to learn, you'll have to play them, and if it's stuff you don't mind playing then you shouldn't feel like you're forcing yourself to do it. Also have a good listen to some bassists that you're really into and think to yourself "i want to play like that". Listen to some music that really gets you motivated. A good listen to some red hot chilis always gets me wanting to pick my bass up and have a bash because the bass is just so lively and fun. Good luck getting back into it I should probably take some of my own advice too! I got an electric a few weeks ago and i've hardly touched my basses... i might just have a play now!
17. Sorry i thought the issue was with the guy saying fender squier or something. i think the VMJ necks are pretty nice anyway, nice to look at, pretty well made and they felt pretty nice in my hands when i've used them.
18. I think someone has just been uber careful with it to be honest. The body looks well aged, look at the contrast of the colours at the bottom of this picture where it's been under the control plate. There's a good bit of dirt on the board too as you can see here, and the MOP inlay looks fairly faded and the board itself looks fairly old. I think it's been well played, just very well looked after, personally. I mean it's not like it doesn't happen is it?
19. ah fair enough, probably And FWIW i'd rather have your ray than that modulus, i know it had lane poors and all, but the finish on your ray is beautiful
20. hahaha I see it's deleted now eh kev? numpty! looks like nobody was that interested anyways haha [/overusageofemoticons]
21. i tried a mazeti t-bird and it wasn't half bad, considering i hate the things! I've heard good stuff about mazeti
22. Do we really need an excuse to have a bit of a joke in these times of doom and gloom? No offence mate but lighten up a bit. We're not exactly having a dig at the guy are we?
23. I like that pedal tuner XD Joking aside they're actually really good! haha
