1.
I presume you are talking about the top? Buckeye Burl.
I was indeed, looks nice
 2. more pics of that warmoth SG are needed btw i just think it's stunning
 3. That looks really nice, what wood is that?
 4. I'd contact behringer if i were you, that or the shop you bought it from, if you didn't get it online. If you have gigs etc sometimes the shop will loan you a replacement while yours is off being repaired. I had a behringer ultrabass BX1200, and i really wasn't impressed with it.... it had a habit of losing gain from what i remember. absolutely rubbish amps (sorry!) if i were you i'd get it repaired and get rid ASAP!
 5.
Looks cool can't wait to see the final product. i wonder if it will come in a triple mm humbecker setup.
Haha nope, no room
 6. Red tort or black i think
 7. Ooh, very tasty looking, good luck mate
 8.
That's class.... joins Basschat, posts a bass for sale, doesn't like a question and goes off in a sulk! Legend!
that's the best one i've seen for a while
 9.
thanks for that. would there be any difficulty with changing the pups?
Not at all, it's a relatively simple job on a passive circuit and those pickups should be the same size as any other standard p/j pickups on the market. I think if you liked the one you played before and you have the money, you should go for it, they're very nice basses. I wish i could have one! Unfortunately though, if i had every bass i wanted i'd need another house to put them all in!
 10. Damn, no more bids? Someone got a steal. Admittedly those photographs didn't really do it justice
 11. I really wish i could help you out with this one if (for some silly reason) it's not gone and you still want rid shortly after christmas when i might have some cash i'd love to take it off your hands.
 12. Ah yeah that's the main difference, pickguard and colours. I think some of them come with a flamed maple top too? not sure, but they're definitely all CIJ. Also go for the white
 13. I'm pretty sure all the aerodynes are japanese made? Just some are imported and some of them aren't. I think they keep the best ones in japan but some private sellers import them themselves.
 14. Oooh nice, i love them in that colour, looks like it's going to end pretty cheap too!
 15. Yeah WD40 is pretty good stuff for pretty much anything. I find it has more place as a cleaner than a lubricant. It's too think to be a good lubricant but it gets rid of muck magnificently! I've only ever used it on my bike before, but if it's pretty much mineral oil and people have used it before i wouldn't hesitate to use it on my bass as it's pretty good stuff. Though unless you've got a proper grime build up i wouldn't imagine you'd really need it.
 16.
No thanks . . . . but thanks for the info
I think it's just a big body tbh, they never mentioned anything about shortscale.
 17. I think used is your best bet. I think they were an option a while ago, but they've stopped doing them now i think.
 18.
Unfortuantly you now have a Randal
Psh! it actually sounds rather good for metal i think.
 19. I got a 75W solid state randall guitar amp the other day for £65 + £25 postage, not a bad price for a used one considering they're £225 new. Even better due to the fact that it was ex shop display and practically new!
 20. wow.... that's all i can say
 21. From what i hear, they're ace CIJ = awesome, not heard much about the tone but the PJ config probably sounds pretty sweet and how awesome does it look? I tried an aerodyne precision once though (same PJ config) and it sounded pretty sweet.
 22.
FOR SALE ONE BRILLIANT BASS GUITAR SELF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT..
Does it come with an instruction manual? Looks like it might be hard to put together...
full size bolt on neck with exact Fender scale length
So that makes it as good as a fender, am i right?
but more frets and greater access with solid wood construction and inserts for the neck screws
Damn, it must be better than a fender!! You don't see solid wood construction much these days either!
offers excellent sustain and tone rarely seen on a bass guitar
I bet it's a tone monster! Musicman and warwick should be quaking in their boots! A bargain, frankly.
 23. When you say ugly.... do you mean uglier than most other burns basses? Because lets be fair, you can hardly call them attractive!!
 24.
Cheers, but i'll be looking for a Stingray or Sterling.
Heh only joking, i love my SUB
 25.
Everything's giggable, we're just spoiled these days. Defo worth getting the action sorted so it plays nice.
+1 Any bass is giggable as long as it's not literally falling to bits. You should see some of the stuff some of the younger bands around here play with! And for the record i know a guy who played many a gig with a westfield precision, and when it's in the mix i doubt you could tell a whole lot of difference between that and a fender tbh. Same with a lot of basses, whether it's cheap or expensive, when it's in the mix it's hard to tell a great deal of difference a lot of the time.
