1.
There is a thread somewhere about doing a bash a NAS's place in Worcestershire, probably May-ish, so it would be nice if as many as possible can make that to help raise some money for Nick's charities (see the other thread). I will be up for a bash in Nottingham as well as the one in May. Anybody seen / heard from Moody recently??. Not seen him around for a while.
I'd be up for both most likely, though it's up to everyone else I've just PM'd moody, apparently he was online earlier today, probably lurking.
Notts? In Feb. [Thinks hard] I was thinking that maybe after a year or so my playing wouldn't be so embarrassingly primitive that I could go to a bash. Maybe if I wrap my hand in bandages and pretend it's sprained I could get away with it.
Haha i'm not that good either
2.

Have you ever thought about covering up the B with black duct tape?
3. You've got a sequoia gold sterling???!!!! I'd give my left testicle for that! Sod it... i'd give both my testicles for that!
4. Is it a really big control plate or do they just have really small models?
5. There were something like 42 viewing the thread that led to the public apology EDIT: wow, that thread has 12,000+ vews!
6. If you can't get a lift, i'm pretty sure the train is about £11 return or something, which isn't so bad i guess.
7.
Yes. And hopefully the Shuker will be done by then, so I'll drag that along too!
Oh sweet! I may have to start making a list of those interested
8. Awesome, i assume you'll be dragging luke along with you again?
9.
I got some new (old) JapCrap a couple of weeks back - it was sitting at £25 or so, with 2 hours left, I put on a suitably satanic top bid of £66.66 and cleared off to a gig - with absolutely no expectation of winning it! When I came back I'd got a Kawai Sleekline for £64. Jon.
Haha how lucky was that?
10. Awesome, i take it you're doing it yourself then?
11. Very pretty, i live those rosewood/blocks necks! Why did they have to stop doing nitro finishes?
12. We had it at the grosvenor last time, seemed like it was well chosen, nice and big, not too grotty and decent beer!
13. I've just discovered Ernie Ball straps. They seem really strong (and really long!) for a fiver!
14. Right, the date is now set for saturday the 28th of feb '09 from 12-5pm (we HAVE to be out by 5 as someone else has it booked for the evening) at the Grosvenor pub in notts (postcode NG5 2BY), google "the grosvenor nottingham" and you will get a map, a phone number and full address in the first entry if you need any directions. Mark the date on your calendars people! It's in the function room upstairs. Entry will be £4 per person to cover costs of the room etc and the excess will be donated to basschat or another musical charity. That doesn't limit you in any way though, bring as much gear as you want! Any suggestions for anything we can do on the day will be considered. Here are some rules regarding non-basschatters, which are probably fairly important, please respect them: 1. Any none basschatter should accompanied by a basschatter, and let us know if you're going to be bringing someone, though excluding people isn't what we want, obvously we don't want every tom dick and harry coming along. 2. Don't bring too many non-bass chatters, this space is paid for by basschat i suppose and it is a basschat event, but i'll leave it up to you as to what constitutes "too many", just be sensible. 3. If you do bring someone, make sure you know them at least, we all respect our gear and we expect everyone else to act accordingly. 15. Do what argh says maybe (but not for long), and if you have the reaction go for stainless steel strings and when your frets wear down get some stainless steel ones as other people have said. Have you tried changing your current strings? Maybe it's just something on your strings
16. If you've only had it two weeks then you'll definitely be able to get it fixed free of charge if you bought it new. Did you try before you bought?
17. +1, any prices? A carbon one may look good on my EBMM
18. Haha what was it?

23. Ooh i recognise that G&l Glad you like it, it really is an awesome bass, but sadly not for me. I loved the grain on it though! Nice ibby too
24. I think my desert island bass would be my musicman SUB. Not the best player but not unplayable, sounds and looks fantastic though
hmm... too true perhaps?
lol! You've got it in for this guy! (with good reason!)
25. It really does beg the question of whether or not he was here to make a quick buck on a fake or not...
