it does sound out of tune to the guitarist, the song i mainly have an issue on is living on a prayer by bonjovi. i do the funny bass riff through the verse but for the bridg, chorus and solo i follow the guitar chords but it sounds terrible :-/ thankies carla

Hello! Ive only been playing bass for 2 years, im in a band but find it a bit hard when it comes to some notes. In some of our setlist, mainly a couple of cover songs, i follow the guitar chords as im not quite quick enough to pull off the full bass riff....but some of the minor notes dont sound quite right, just wondered if anyone had any advice as to an easy way of working it out? Ive heard playing the root note of the guitar chord is usually what to do but minors dnt seem to work! I understand ive probably made myself look veeery stupid in this message but i just dont know and no-one has ever told me :-( sorry! carla

i bought it online after reading some supposedly good reviews about it, didnt have any problems with it at home but as soon as it was set up in a live gig situation, it failed to deliver what it said on the can! :-( lol im still waiting to hear back from the company i got it from, its faulty and im not impressed with the quality of it (more fool me i know, but i didnt know any better at the time :-( ) i have rights as a customer to turn down a replacement and ask for a refund dont i? i heard somewhere it was 21 days legally? thankies, carla

Hey, i need a bit of technical advice, not very knowledgeable in the bass amp area. Ive recently bought a Behringer BXL 1800 ultrabass and took it to a live rehersal on sunday, it was bloody awful! I had nothing but issues, the gain/OD control which i had been using at home and set up perfectly, lost its nice sound completely, just like it was a normal channel, so we tried mic-ing the amp up, still no decent od/gain, then i added my boss bass overdrive pedal to the mix but randomly started getting awful feedback/humming noise, what started off quietly but got so loud i had to switch the amp off....so, then we tried using the DI output straight to the mixer, same thing (the mic was moved away from the amp and switched off....obviously!) but still the noise kept randomly happening, which then resulted in me disconnecting my OD pedal and having a really naff sound....but i dont know what else to do.....slightly concerned as i have a gig in just over 2 weeks :-//. no other instruments i.e guitars/mics were near my amp, and the volume wasnt very loud at all, if it had been i probably would have broke some windows >.< any advice would be greatly appreciated!! thankies, carla x

Hello...just a quick post. My band Last One Standing are doing a charity gig in aid of radio station Dream 100's Kids Trust Charity on the 12th December at The Bull in Colchester. Hello people, My name is Carla, im a 21 year old bassist from Colchester, Essex, and i play in a local indie/rock band called Last One Standing....well i say indie rock, its the closest thing we can categorise ourselves in lol. Currently im using a Dean edge, and also have a custom painted Ibanez GSR....which i cant bear to say goodbye to cos it was my first bass. Ive just ordered a new amp...wooo! Its a Behringer bxl1800 combo (this is the point someones says they suck....and i cry lol) But previously i used a trace elliot gp7sm-130 pre amp and 200w speaker cab, but its ust too awkward and big to transport for gigging :-( Erm...well yeah if you feel like it check out the band website, which is www.l1s.co.uk. dont be offended by the music on there, they are very very rough recordings but the finished product is on its way! were gigging for charity on the 12th december, and i cant wait!!!!! anyway that should bore everyone enough for now lol Laters! hellooo..... could anyone help me and give me a rough idea how much a Trace Elliot GP7SM-130 7 band series pre-amp would sell for? Its in working order, the casing is just a bit tired and in need of some TLC. Thankies Carla
