  1. Great basses. Top horn may look ungainly, but they certainly don't neck- dive! The script has worn off of my Infinity's MECs after only light use...
  2. It is a shame. Bought a nice Jazz there once.
  3. @Cosmo ValdemarYes. The SRX700 is the N/T. You'd be able to see the Walnut stringers, as they're not hidden in the body or under a top.
  4. Looks like the same preamp as the Active Hohner Jack and B2A. Vol/Vol, Bass & Treble stack. Active/ (true) passive switch- it'll work with a flat battery in passive mode. There should be a trim pot accessible through a hole in the cavity cover that can be used to adjust the output of the EQ section to match the passive mode if needed. Should sound pretty good. My B2A5 does quite a good "super-jazz" impersonation- it has J/J pickups, too.
  5. I reckon Marcus probably owns a Stanley sig, for what it's worth...
  6. And then there was the time that two gentlemen intent upon relieving me of my Warwick chased me across Leicester Square. It was evening, and still light. Plenty of people around. Fortunately, I'd parked nearby and made it to the car. That's the only one I've had, but it was a close call and I'd think twice about playing in London. I'm not as quick on my feet as I used to be...
  7. That worked best for me on my S1 also...
  8. That's crappy news 😔 Best of luck with the Op and recovery process... Someone suggested a bass uke. I tried a Kala U bass yesterday, and was surprised how good it was with its wee rubber strings. Otherwise, Chapman Sticks are hilariously light and can be played seated. They just take forever to learn to play well.
  9. To turn a BC (or was it BassWorld?) phrase; "I don't have TIM for this!"
  10. It's still going strong...
  11. Find a piece of equipment that both you and your student can plug into simultaneously and play through together without having to adjust anything. A little mixing desk, perhaps. I got stuck with the active input of an amp while my teacher had the passive one. We both had active basses. Mine sounded crap and his sounded good. Even when we swapped. Tuition didn't last. Bass playing did. If you disenfranchise your students, they'll leave and/or give up.
  12. Oh. You missed the unsustainable final salary schemes the Boomers had that those who followed either had closed part way through or were denied completely. Boomers may have started "poor" and got richer, but later generations will start mediocre at best and get poorer. Not to worry. Life expectancy is beginning to fall, so it'll even itself out in the end 😉 I agree, though. Led by Donkeys. Or maybe Ostriches.
  13. Coming from a man who bought what you just did, that's quite a compliment! 😉
  14. The IR is the Markbass 4x10 The first FX is the Morning drive: Level 37% Tone 87% Drive 56% Reverb is Room Decay 19% Level 73% Tone 7%
  15. By way of return, I'll put my favourite up. I can't do it now. Seems you can't change patches in the app if you're not connected to the Nux itself.
  16. Yes please...
  17. Still liking mine. Its my go-to for practice. If it had a bulit-in tuner and physical gain/volume controls, it'd be excellent. As it is, it's still very good indeed.
  18. Nine Inch Snails Irony Maiden Vanilla Lice No-Sync KFC and the Sunshine Band
  19. I've almost got the full set of Ergodynes. I still need the 2 pick-up EDC (700/705) I think they'll be the closest I'll get to an L-Bow, though!
  20. Every time I open a flight case. Though a have had (and do have) quite a few Ibanezezezs.
  21. Ah, I'd love to get hold of one of Heiko Hoepfinger's instruments. He's an interesting chap, really dedicated to trying to improve the instrument, even if some of his innovations are too left-field for some. Well done on the acquisition. Bet it's excellent. The L-Bow would be my first choice, too. Not ugly. More like a refined Bauhaus approach. Not as mininalist as the Steinberger nor as reductionist and under-developed as something like a Born2Rock.
  22. Sorted!
  23. Bass Viol?
