Cambridge ain’t a brilliant place for live music venues for weekend warriors, considering it’s a major University town, gigging opportunities are pretty poor. Huntingdon had a couple of pubs that put on live bands, they are both what I call very rough places, full of trouble makers and druggies, not sure if they still have live bands at the weekends.

I stand by what I say, his rhythm playing is great, unfortunately in my mind, his lead playing is not. Each to their own, we can’t all think everyone is great. Now, where’s my rosette.

Not bad, unfortunately the guitarists lead playing has not improved, his lead work has always sounded disjointed to me with lots of inaccurate string bends.👎

Not sure that player on the video has really listened to the song or he has made up his own version. On the original recording the bass does not kick in until 42 seconds into the song, this guy is playing his bass from the actual start.

Hi fellow BCer’s, Can anyone help me with a note run down within this song please, I’m struggling to pick out the bass notes within the middle eight (at 2.20 on the video) it repeats C to D three times and on the fourth section before going back into the chorus there is definitely a bass rundown behind the guitar, our guitarist recons it’s E F# G A B, I’m fairly sure it just sounds different to that. Any guidance would be welcome.

Great to see this, caught it halfway through, Rods vocals better then, nowadays it’s not the case. Very good band, I saw this line up on a couple of tours around this period.
