  1. Surely as soon as the band picked up this was happening with the first gig he messed up for you, the band should have contacted each individual venue of your future bookings to clarify and confirm you were still performing at them at the agreed dates.
  2. Currently on Sky Arts 11.30 pm Tuesday The making of Aja by Steely Dan. Pure magic. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  3. Soul destroying gig last night, only our second of this year, normally we would have done 10 to 15 at this point in a year. Played a pub in a small village, one of the locals either got married or had some sort of party, so most of the village probably attended, our audience at the pub was the barman and two punters, we only played our first set and then the two punters left, the barman said we might as well pack up and paid us our full fee. I’m seriously considering calling it a day for gigging at the end of this year, Covid has absolutely hammered the live music scene around here, it was always very buoyant pre Covid.
  4. Macca has some special big gun surprise guests on stage tonight, Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen.
  5. Currently watching Macca on BBC1, his voice is too low in the mix, FFS turn it up a couple of clicks on the desk.
  6. Apparently Celeste is being touted as the new Billie Holiday, πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”
  7. Quite enjoyed Crowded House, the only bit that spoilt it for me was having that young kid on the stage, why ? Some tasty bass work by Nick Seymour.
  8. Ain’t the transport on strike ?
  9. This is what I consider to be a genuine reaction video, Robert Plant was clearly moved by this stunning performance by Heart.
  10. I think I possibly recognised 1% of all the acts listed from that huge extensive list. There is only one act I would really like to see performing, that’s Crowded House.
  11. Totally agree, a very painful listening experience. I was enjoying the Duran Duran performance until that woman came on and started rapping halfway through one track.
  12. Diana Ross is definitely miming 😳 Who told her to dress up as a Giant Panda. πŸ˜€
  13. This might help.
  14. Stealer, Free tribute at Elme Hall Blues Club. Jeff Rich ex Status Quo on the drums. The video sound quality is not great, it was recorded by someone employed by the venue.
  15. Love Sculpture AKA Dave Edmunds
  16. This was a biggie.
  17. I didn’t realise Living In A Box, that band from the 80’s had reformed.πŸ˜€
  18. Definitely, every band I have ever played in has been my type of music. I’m a weekend warrior and just play as a hobby, I would have zero interest in joining a band that played music I didn’t like. I totally understand musicians who rely on gigging for a living doing it, as they need the money coming in.
  19. A big fat NO from me.
  20. Sky Arts tonight Saturday 21st May at 11.30pm. The Doobie Brothers - Let the Music Play. The story of the band from its beginnings in 1970. Update - It’s now showing as starting one hour later at 12.30am.
  21. I was really into all of the following in the 80’s, managed to see them all live in concerts. Simply Red INXS Go West The Christians Terence Trent D’Arby
