Hi Guys
Would anybody be interested in trading their SII headless IV for a custom built GB IV (built for me by Bernie in 2007) As much as I love the GB I'm just not playing it any more as all my work is now with my (very busy) 80s tribute band (hence the need for the SII - gotta look the part!)
The GB has been owned by me since taking delivery and is great nick apart from one (very small) chip in the paint next to the rear strap button
Couple of pics;
The bass has the full Rumour circuit (although the control layout suggest otherwise - I had Bernie build it like this as I wanted the Rumour electronics but preferred the visual 'in line' jazz type layout) and also has a spare 'snot green' (Bernie's discription not mine!) scratchplate to give the bass a different (more vintage) vibe if required
GB branded hiscox hardcase included (slighted damaged/lifted vinyl covering in one area due to inadvertantly leaving the case too close to a wall heater one cold witner evening rehearsal!)
Any interest/offers etc either PM me or reply to thread - trade value £1000
Thanks and Regards
Dave
Hi mate
Might be an idea to get this advertised on http://www.statii.com (No 1 online status community) - at that price I think it'll shift in no time! (beautiful bass btw)
Cheers
Dave
A truely great walking bass part can be found on David Lee Roth's 'Just a Gigalo/I Ain't Got Nobody' (from his 'Crazy From The Heat' EP) - a brilliant bass part from start to finish & walking heaven! Check it out!!
Cheers
Dave

Love the cleaness of the inline Spitfire controls. Mmm...
I actually asked Bernie to use that control layout when he built the bass as I much prefer it visually to the 'Rumour' layout on the Spitfire design (there is a Rumour circuit in the bass - like you say looks much better!)

So I leave, they start rehearsing in sensible places and they brought back Sledgehammer!
Well done Dave, you're definitely smacking them into line.

Ha! Not totally mate as we've had a couple of hiccups lately with missed gigs/rehearsals - am very hopeful that Sundays efforts will bear fruit though!
Distance is indeed not an object to a smooth running band if everyone is of a like mind. In my 80s band myself & the drummer live in Bideford, Keyboard player lives in Barnstaple (10 miles), Singer is in Camelford (about 40 miles) & Guitarist is in Exeter (similar distance in the opposite direction)
We're rehearsing this Sunday at a location fairly equidistant to all of us and gig regularly all over Devon & Cornwall - seems to work for us!

A song composed almost entirely of 'win'. I assume by PNEFC you're in the North West? Any gigs anytime soon?
Yes gigging regularly but alas nowhere near the North West these days (South West actually!) Born in Preston & a life long North End fan!
Like you say though, great song!
