1. Also, our setups are very similar! I'll have to get a pic taken. Precisions + LM3 + S112 = :-D
2. I can't wait to get my covers and new cables from Tommy. I've actually been wrapping the cabs in a duvet cover to keep them from harm on the way to/from gigs!!
3. Good effort in sanding this down. Lovely blank canvas for someone seeking a quality little project. I'd be all over this if I had the cash.
4. Aren't the FSR models usually a little cheaper? No ideas why, mind. That vintage white one is lovely too!!
5.
Rather fetching for sure!! I think a matching amp facia would be cool too. Maybe invert the colours of the script and background then make the black red instead.
Hells yeah! That's a very classy looking rig.
6. Saw that picture somewhere on Facebook yesterday - it looks fantastic doesn't it.
7. Nice one. Looks great. They pair up well with the Little Mark amp too, huh?
8.
Then the conclusion must be that they don't care about their audience.
Not sure if you're being sarcastic?
9.
Yes. Why isn't it important to them? As outlined in most of the posts it's fairly important to the audience.
What level are we talking - does it really have any impact on anyone what your local pub band wears? I couldn't care less, really, and I'm into fashion and take great care in my own appearance. For functions and weddings and maybe originals bands appearance certainly does matter, but down your local, where everyone else is dressed casually, I can't see why anyone would have a problem with jeans or whatever. For the band where each member works 40+ hours a week in an office and does the odd gig with a group of mates, who cares what they look like. They're musicians doing what they love for the evening. Asking why someone wouldn't care is fairly odd, too. I'm sure we all do things others wouldn't, the way we talk or wear our hair or whatever. Teachers or office managers shouldn't have tattoos or dyed hair either, I guess?
10.
The question should be 'Why Don't Some Guys Care About Their Appearance..? The simple answer would be: 'because it's not important to them.' I'm one of them.
This is pretty much all there is to it, right?! Or am I missing something?
11.
Does it take me to get my sander out and get this to natural to sell it?
Honestly, that's probably a good idea. Most people like a natural finish and this is obviously a love/hate thing as is.
12. This is a fantastic cab, superbly made, loud and very versatile. Real quality at a great price. Lozz is a top bloke to deal with too. Someone is going to get a good deal here.
13. It must be time to start a TKS thread in the gear pron forum, I reckon!
14. The 102p could easily be had within budget secondhand, in fact, I think they're £400 odd new now. They're great little cabs too.
15.
I set the gain (as far as I'm aware properly) to just under the clip, eq was mostly at 12 o'clock the filters were at about 2oclock and 7oclock
Yeah, that's correct. For my light touch with low output pickups I set it between 12 and 1 o'clock. 2 o'clock is quite heavy on the filters. Perhaps it is a case of needing to tone that down.
16. Did you have the input gain set correctly? I.e, a notch below where the blue clip light flashes when you play hard, and how was it EQ'd and where were the filters set?
17.
They are very pretty.
And light, well built and sound incredible ;-)
18.
I am and I want the Tonehammer 500 and 2x TKS S112 cabs. I'm sick of carrying heavy valve gear and will be buying the afore mentioned in the new year. Take one or 2 cabs as required
My two S112 and LM3 are perfect for this. Use one or two cabs as required with a clip on tuner for an easy load in/out.
19. Hi Kev. Not with the LM3. How was the gain and DI level set? And was the signal pre or post EQ? Also, maybe obvious, but was the desk set correctly?
20. I should be trying a WT550 soon!
21.
look at the, burst, RW and tort goodness
It's a beauty, for sure. There is no better combo for a Fender. Your guitarist needs to lose those sunnies though!
22. Given how personal questions 6 and 10 are, perhaps it would be a good idea to expand upon what you are researching and what the purpose is?
