1. Wow, that sucks. How many cabs has the Cab Slayer claimed? If Orange accepted liability with the 'faulty PCB' I would look into claiming for the cab repairs, for sure.
2.
Don`t mention the handles, I mentioned them once but I think I got away with it.
Quote of the day! Haha.
3. Scott Devine maybe? I think he has a medical need for it. I've seen him mention it on more than one occasion in his fantastic videos.
4. I played the lacquer model once. It was quality.
5. The VM are cool. CVs are pretty special though, if you find a good one.
6.
Yawn.....
It's a fair question, isn't it? I'm genuinely interested in how you've come to this conclusion too.
7. I don't know the first thing about GB amps, but the low EQ on the MB is centred very low. Could that be why?
8.
An even higher priority than proper and high quality mechanical and electrical engineering and acoustics?
That side of it is obviously quality - so there are no worries there.
9. Did anyone snap one of these up? Serious bargains!
10. Aaaaand now I'm trawling ebay for one of these... I have a few single coils laying around that I took out of a Strat, including a Duncan Hot Rail! Never occurred that it might work in a bass.
11. My folding screwfix trolley can apparently take 80kg! Really, it would struggle doing half that. They are nifty little things though and don't take up any space in the car.
12. Good stuff! Really pleased to hear it. I never got to hear it out front unfortunately!
13.
Fender 1978 US Precision, Fender MIM 2008 Precision. Into Boss TU2 Tuner, then Tech21 VT DI, signal split into: Markbass CMD121P combo & NY121 ext cab, and Markbass Little Mark 3 & Club600F32
I've only just seen this!! How are you getting on with it?
14. Cool. These look great as they age too.
15. Sorry to be the one to ask here, but you've ruled out it just being a faulty speakon cable/connector?
16.
'Tipping', to me, is akin to busking, with the guitar case open on the ground. You're relying on the goodwill of the folks around. It's a half-step up from begging. If a restaurant owner wants decent staff, he should pay them decent money, and the healthcare contributions etc which go with it. Tipping as a revenue evades this. It has no place in a decent modern society, imo. Just my tuppence-worth. (...but if you could see your way clear to spare a copper or two, I'd be much obliged, sir...)
I agree. Though, I should say, I don't understand how the whole tipping thing actually works in the USA. Do they pay income tax on tips?
17. I think it is input gain. Could be wrong though. The one Ashdown I had, the VU meter didn't work either way.
18. Very nice! I love this colour with the tort guard and rosewood, especially for relics.
19.
"Not very popular in this manor, squire" (if I remember my Monty Python correctly)
"Well sorry, but I'm going to have to shoot you".
20.
I've never used flats, I have 2 or 3 Precisions that I use regularly so I'll fit some to see if I like them. Any recommends for a flat virgin? (Ooer missus )
I like Fender's own. There cheap enough to take a punt on too.
21. Roadworns are so awesome. I've always looked admiringly at the sunbursts but that red one is tasty!
22. On first read I thought by 'ne1' you meant 'anyone'. Thanks for the flashback to the times of the Nokia 3210 and pre predictive text shorthand.
23.
Red Leicester? Tilsit? Caerphilly? Bel Paese? Red Windsor? Stilton? Gruyere? Emmenthal? Norwegian Jarlsberg? Liptauer? Lancashire? White Stilton?
Nice cheese listing skills. That's a thorough list. Forgot cheddar, but that's a fine list.
24.
It must be the UK. It's the only country where people defend poor quality. I believe some people actually paid good money for Reliant Robins and Austin Metros - but at least they were cheap. The only way Alex is going to improve his product and stay in business is if he receives and accepts valid criticism.
That's what I was initially asking? It wouldn't be accepted in the US or Germany, for example. So are people more protective of the questionable build because it was built here? I don't care how they sound, that is subjective. Any premium product should surely have top notch fit and finish regardless of sound.
