Gerold Genssler was the guy who designed the velvet strings. I got a used set of animas and loved them. had them them on maybe 2 or so years before they started to unwind. Genssler has designed lots of his own boutique sets of strings, they are pricey but sound amazing. the tempera strings were a collaboration with him (he's no longer involved I think). they have that lovely low tension that the animas have and sound wonderful. again, very pricey though

How do the trace Elliot and Gk heads colour the sound? (I'm thinking get electric bass). I imagine the acoustic image is quite clean/flat like the EA heads?

Yeah, maybe I'm thinking though I have my dbass covered, curious as to what would go well for electric only setup

I have 2 EA cabs, use an iamp800 with them but wondering if there is another head that would be well matched for them, or should I stick to all EA gear? I play upright and electric through them.
