  1. Cant believe this is still here. An ACG is a quality bass. Probably the best basses you havent played actually and bigwan is sound to deal with have a bump on me ....
  2. These are the mutts nutts of basses for this price. I owned a blue one and it sounded sweeter than my 25th anniv stingray. Lovely instruments.
  3. I would believe that. They are deceptively easy to play.
  4. Lovely looking bass. ACG is an itch that needs scratched again, after selling my custom build I deeply regretted it but circumstances required it.
  5. Delivery ?
  6. Thats a mighty fine bass. Would love to be in a position to buy. Until then have a bump and glwts
  7. That's dangerous talk Ian. is there one leaving if you tee this up ?
  8. This is a gorgeous looking specimen of Alan's work. ACG are great basses.
  9. Id love one of these. It looks so good, as if all the rough edges of the previous models have been removed. GLWTS
  10. Thats a fine looking sample of what is my favourite Fender bass. Awesome neck profiles Loved my 3TSB japanese version of this. GLWTS
  11. This is a gorgeous bass. Love the colour. Must be hard to let this go.
  12. I wish i hadnt sold mine, and im sorely tempted Just coming up short of the price though....
  13. Is this still for sale ?
  14. Ive just spent about ten minutes playing one of these and im really surprised at how good it sounded/felt. A drunk customer in the shop then starting pushing me and i had to stop, then left the shop. Strange experience. So any thoughts / experiences good or bad on these ?
  15. I owned one of these about 4 years ago. So much flexibility and volume that you dont believe is possible until you play through one. A 4 cab setup with 1200 watts is a beautiful feeling. GLWTS
  16. It's a very steep slippy slope to the Dingwall place. And once you go over the edge it's a long drop as lots of money falls out of your bank account on the way.
  17. Bought from matchetts rock shop in Belfast. Yes. I have to say that this was fairly good. Almost as good as the warwick thumb i walked out of the same store with for a fraction of the retail price about 8 yrs ago. Good store
  18. New bass after a quick play in the shop. £199 for a spector coda pro. Not a mark on it, the shop just wanted to move it on. Have not really got a play on it yet as we have workmen in the house at the minute and its moderate chaos. But - it looks lovely. The mouse was not included with the bass. Mickey just has to be in the middle of everything.
  19. Trigger pulled Ian matchetts loss
  20. With the venom that the big kahuna at Ric defends their honour et al you would expect better qc for thousands of quids worth of bass. It appears not though.
  21. I find these basses gorgeous to look at but i cant get on with them. I owned a 4003FL, a 4004 laredo and a 4003 mapleglo. The FL had a dodgy pickup, the laredo had a truss rod issue and by the time i got the other 4003 mapleglo I was scunnered. Would love to nibble the RIC again but dont have £2,000 to drop on one when half of that would buy me a quality bass of another make.
  22. My curiousity is up now. Need to find a time this week to go back and play this. Thanks for the input. Will report back my findings. 👍🏻
  23. Not a joke - even though it sounds unreal ive seen it in the flesh and its sound Not a mark on it. Im a passive pup player and just not sure if i will hate the sound or not. Maybe need to go and invest time in playing on it for a bit.
  24. Thanks guys. Is £200 for a brand new one a steal or what ?
  25. Anyone any info on these ? Theres a cheap one of these going for sale locally and it nearly seems too good to be true sound ? Finish ? value ? cheers
