1. This is a great idea, and I've often wondered about the same for electric bass. I might start a thread for it! Cheers!
 2.
ouch, 3 hours of listening to country music and 0 votes Nevermind, I didn't like my mix on re-listening. Well done to the winners! I'll try harder this month.
Exactly the same for me, except I beat you (second last, somehow ). I only realised when I had the other tracks to measure against how unclear my vocals were, and how up-front my guitars were, among other things. Oh well, i'm looking forward to the next one!
 3.
Gagging for a fake? Cheap dodgy Rick here .
BAH! I should have known better!
 4. Loads of fantastic entries! But in the end, I went with the one I just liked the best. Skol, mate, your track was fantastically made, but just not exactly my kind of thing. I don't think It's fair of me to single out a couple, because really, all of them were fantastically made, but Jazz just isn't my kind of thing. I had a bit of a toss up between a few of them at the end. Well done, everyone
 5. Nearly finished listening and about to make a decision on what to vote for. There are some really nice tracks on here this months (appealing even to the likes of me, a non-jazzer). I like camden Rob's entry especially. It's just got a great sound, but my mind is by no means made up yet
 6.
Found the circuit http://myweb.ecompla...Schematic%2EJPG
Should be grand. I'm no expert, but it should work if hooked up correctly.
 7.
I'm entertained that even Musicman's official distributor keep misspelling Stingray as "Stringray"!
Haha!
 8.
Would this work in my OLP MM3? http://www.ernieball...ss-pre-amp?pp=8
There's no information on there, but as long as you can hook it up, it should work.

Oh hang on... you aren't one of the crazy people that were on Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, are you? Welcome to the forum
 10.
I saw the Eagles in Northern Ireland on their Hell Freezes Over tour and loved it. Joe was wearing Yellow and Khaki camouflage trousers and a yellow body warmer. Nutter :-) His performance of Pretty Maids All In A Row was sublime.
My dad was there too
 11.
You need really good crew,(willing to gaffer tape any scrote to a fire escape and wallop their kneecaps with a foot long Mag light)when they catch them.
*At the tribunal* Guard - "His knees? No, he fell when I grabbed him. ... What? Did I bash his knees in with my torch? No, of course not... who would do a thing like that?"
 12.
Too late Bought this
Nice!
 13. You have a Modulus! What a cool looking/sounding bass they are!
 14. Wow, when did track I get so many votes?
 15.
Do you have signatures turned on?
Yes!
 16.
If trade in vintage copies is doing harm to their business, then their action definitely has done a good half a dozen vintage copies worth of damage, because a guy who got annoyed by their attitude took up trade in vintage copies purely out of the need to express that annoyance, because they don't have much truck with copies as instruments, since they are copying a fundamentally duff instrument,
Is this one of those "I have a friend, and he has a bit of a problem" kind of things? (i.e. It's you)
 17.
I don't think things work like that in the far East. My understanding is that it's pretty much a free market over there with letters from the US threatening legal action just being thrown in the bin as the authorities have no appetite to pursue, let alone prosecute, alleged copyright infringers.
I remember watching Top Gear a while ago, when they were in China, and Jezza was standing in a bunch of knock off gear (hat, scarf, jacket, phone) and then stood beside a quite obvious copy of a BMW X5, and said that BMW had tried to sue the company that made the copy, and basically what they got was "what are you on about? It's nothing like your car" and that was the end of it.
 18. The problem is that they aren't like other basses, with their outdated methods of construction and whatnot. What does a new one cost? You could probably get a custom built bass for the same money, I'd imagine.
 19. I'm not a P fan, but that is an absolute stunner! Good job
 20.
Raising the pickup is probably whats done it
That was my first thought too. Bury that pup again!
 21. It could be the sun, or it could be from cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, I'm not much use on finishes, but some people on here paint plenty of instruments, so if you find somebody who knows in another thread, send them a PM
 22.
Hello all. I recently scored a Seymour Duncan SMB4D pickup to install in my passive OLP and I'm asking for suggestions as to what might get the best use out of it. No pre amp, so what are the options? Two Vol one Tone or the reverse? Series or parallel? A switch for the above? I don't need anything too complicated, I don't usually touch more than the tone control during a gig. Advice gratefully accepted. MM
They were all 2 vol 1 tone in parallel. Although I'd agree with all the comments saying to have the option of series. I never really had any great need to turn down a single coil, and I reckon not many do. You could put in a 2 band preamp if you wanted though, that would be cool.
 23.
Afternoon all, The current total raised now stands at £627.57. Well done to all so far. The current "target" on the justgiving page is set at £1000. With how we're going, we'll beat that in no time. So, what should we up it to? Cheers, James
Don't up it any more, just brag to BGM about how much you smashed the target by.
 24.
Does this font look bothered?
Not particularly, just stating that I disagree, no need to be rude.
 25.
It's all a bit bland and safe and yummy mummy's everywhere will listen to it on the school run till their kids flip and start listening to Goblin Cock and Clutch. So it's a good thing.
I strongly disagree.
