1.
Excellent...so glad I am not alone in my admiration.
Don't see any reason why you would be tbh. They were pretty popular in their day, and not exactly unpopular today in rock circles.
 2.
Having trouble with my big muff at the minute, I'm not getting any output, then if I press Down on the volume knob it intermittently works.
HAHAHA! Oh... you're serious... oh...
 3.
Get out of my head Milty.... I was about to say that
Buy cat food...
 4.
~~~~\o/~~~~ Gloug... Gloug... Gloub...
Yes indeed, but where's the fun in picking something particularly easy? (Not that I find any of it easy; I know less about it all than all of you )
 5.
Last weekend...
That can't be you... that bass only has 4 strings! (Or are there 8 hidden around the back that I can't see? )
 6. Go on, throw us into the deep end, Simon. Pick something tricky
 7.
with the BFs once they arrive.
Oh how this would make you the but of jokes in a playground now. Luckily for you, I think we all know what you meant, and we aren't insolent enough to think you meant it by it's modern day usage...
 8. Sounds pretty cool. Nope, not a perfect recording, but who cares!? It sounds cool as. Picture some underground belgian coffee jazz hut, with people sitting around, clicking their fingers, and smoking cigarettes through their long filters. It's cool. As cool as a cat, or whatever is cool to jazzy folk
 9. Funky Jazz bass.
 10.
K mixed through a blanket , it completely lacked clarity and now that I know whos it is , the gung ho approach shows, it is probably like mine sounded when I started, so stick at it …
I swear it sounded different after I uploaded it to sound cloud! But everything is very muddy and unclarified, I wouldn't argue that it wasn't! My hearing is still very sensitive to high frequency noises, and it doesn't like them, so I think I tried to tune a lot of them out, without knowing what the final result would be, but it honestly wasn't that bad when I was mixing it! The next one WILL be better, I'm determined about that
 11.
Yes, Milty. Certainly, Milty. Whatever you say. (Backs slowly towards the door...) Potato bread is wonderful, you're absolutely right. Squashed concertinas. Van Morrison. K-meters. Whatever you say... (Turns and flees through opened door, leaving it ajar in his flight...) Nurse..! Nurse..?
Hurhuhahhuorhahuragha!
 12.
Quite so, old chum, quite so. This was indeed the gist of Si's comments... ...If only I could hear what 'twang' he was on about. Sounds fine to me...
I have forgotten what most of them are like. There was one that I thought was very trebly, but I'm unsure whether it was yours or not! I'm unwilling to go through and listen to them all again because I am perfectly sane
 13.
Mix 'A' here, and I can easily explain the comments from Si: I'm deaf..! At 63 (in a couple of months...), I know very well that my upper frequencies are all down to tinnitus. Not that I'm proud, or boasting; still less excusing myself. I would doubtless heartily agree with the critique offered, if only I could hear those frequencies..! This will probably be a regular trait of any mixes presented; apologies in advance. I really must download a flac of your mix, Si, and give it a fair listen compared to my Reaper mix as, to me (remember, I'm deaf..!) it seems very like a few others. All of these excellent subtle touches are, unfortunately, wasted on me. This also explains how I can mix in my armchair in 2 evenings, and you have spent many hours. Hats off, sir (and y'all, come to that...). My eyesight ain't that good either; should I steer clear of the photo comp..? Thanks for the very informative comments; will be trying next time (very trying... )
I thought older people were more likely to overcompensate for their loss of hearing by making a mix incredibly trebly. I remember being told by a theory teacher last year that Van Morrison had ruined one of his latest albums with his pig-headedness by overcompensating for his loss of hearing (Because Van is a nightmare to work with, I hear).
 14.
I'd like to try the next one, is it coming out soon?
I got an internet connection especially for it, and I'm going home tomorrow and it's still not up I know it's all done on a voluntary/spare time basis, but it's been too long since the last one finished! I appreciate all the work you are putting in that, Simon
 15. Oh yeah, thanks Simon for giving a critical overview of our mixes. I may have sounded a bit upset, but i'm just moody in general I still can't wait for the next one, despite my lack of decent equipment, knowledge and ability, but it all helps
 16.
I meant put AC1 L hard left and AC1 R hard right, and carry on through the mix, or did you go AC1L and AC1R are pretty much a point source I will put them both over there on the left mixed to taste in terms of timbre.
As I remember, they were either spread both in one direction (although not hard one way or the other) or spread opposite directions, still not hard though.
 17. I did spread everything left and right, but maybe they were all a little too close together? (Mix K BTW). K-metering wasn't right at all I don't have any good monitoring equipment either, just some treble heavy/bass lacking headphones.
 18. I have no plans to gig with it yet. Trying to recover before making any kind of commitment to it first, see
 19.
Dave Ellefson explaining where his hair has gone : Arthur Scargill: Dingus :
Haha!
 20. Video would be cool too! And if you can get some good audio all the better!
 21. I saw him years ago, he's a racist, isn't he? *wanders off laughing to self*
 22. When's the next one starting? I need something to do!
 23. I'll do admin if you like, James. I do nothing most of the time anyway. I don't spam the feeds either (Not that you do, just thought I should tell you that I don't ).
 24. I think there is some way to tag pictures to a location, so you can have like a map with pictures on it. Everyone needs to take plenty of pictures anyway! James, if you want to send me a list of the locations and a load of gig photos, I can put them into some kind of promo video for you.
 25. Unfortunately, they have just finished playing Ireland, and I would have loved to see them! Hopefully they come back soon!
