1. Good thread, good answers. Rainbow '77-'78, Gillan '78-'82, Nomeansno, Victims Family, Hawkwind as they are now.
2. My sympathies, Delbert. At least you're never alone with tinnitus and it's a great tool for checking one's plugs are in properly when the tinnitus is the loudest sound. Ah, the perils of yoof. I've recently moved away from musician plugs & onto these http://www.ultimateear.com/Sales/squidgy.htm - now I have no fear of further damage Strangely enough, when tinnitus becomes really, really bad, they give you a high-powered hearing aid to enable you to overcome it.
3.
Better take the hoover.
Nah, biscuits to make more mess.
4. Playing this tomorrow night, apparently. Any one help a lazy non-reader out with a tab for a 5'er before I settle down with Best Practice and a biro? :brow: Cheers, Lager.
5. Mr C, have you tried Komedia in Brighton mate? They always sell out the decent rock trib bands and a straw poll of the punters at Iron-On Maiden indicated you'd sell a fair few tickets... Mr L.
6. If you can find them, the SPL loaded Sunn 215B's or the EV loaded Mesa/Boogie Road Readys are the nuts.
7. Might pop down the basement in a couple of weeks then...
8. The LH-1000 works well with the Big One. My low B is detuned half a step & no problems at all through that set-up. I don't normally need any EQ either. Good luck.
9. Punk band - same largely original songs & line-up for hundreds of gigs & > 20 years; now infrequent gigs invariably to mates who come for the social, therefore audience expectations are of 4 40-somethings making a righteous din & shouting = total zone out. Covers band - few gigs so far; real songs to uknown punters who expect them played well = worrying about the guitarists tuning issues. I expect more gigs / familiarity & the guits buying tuner / mute pedals to improve things significantly.
10. I used copper tape with a conductive adhesive, overlapped everything & it seems fine. Found it on the 'Bay. I connected the cavities with tape over the top. It's my beater though, so I wasn't too worried.
11.
I can take it :-) (our beer beats yours since the beginning of mankind)
Hoe k, you win.
12.
just wondered why second hand a fives are still worth 800 to a grand as a basic model and are they woorth the money ?
Because they are the dogs bollocks and yes.
13. Good to see the Barefaced love coming back.
14. Nice reviews chaps, can't say enough about my Big Juan & Mr Clabers' service.

18.
I may have shot my load to soon ...
Welcome to my world mate.
19. Best Practice does exactly what you want. And more. http://www.xs4all.nl/~mp200 4/bp/
20. Chickenfoot. Runnin' Out, Down The Drain & Going Down all on the list for the covers band. Know what you mean about Hagar and Van Halen, but his Montrose stuff & CF are great. Rather see Hagar & Anthony than some 12 year old bass player who stipulates a 'study room' anyday.
21. Dimarzio Model P. In cream. +1 for redoing the wiring / shielding too.
