I just can't help it. Every now and then I find myself wanting a BC Rich.
It's quite normal.
What is wrong with me?
Nothing. Pucker 70's design, Dimarzio pups the right way round, Geezer used 'em, 'nuff said. Nik? Oli?
 2. It's all down to the glue used to join the fretboard to the neck innit, just like in Stradivarii. 1-piece maple vs maple fretboard & neck anyone?
 3.
If I understand properly, it's a default EQ setting that overrides the front panel...?
Ah so, a custom default making a 2 channel rig? Tidy.
 4. Tidy mate, very tidy. Why the TaySte switch?
 5. Seamless transaction for a Nomeansno DVD, cheers fella. He lives in Bedfordshire, but don't let that put you off.
 6.
I quite tempted by the programmable 3 ch one, is it the same internals in a different box?
Nope, yer Paradriver loses the Presence control & gains Mid & Mid Freq controls you can use to offset the Sansamp mid-suck tendency. If I had to get one again, I'd get the Paradriver, again.
 7.
My response is usually, "the loudest f***ing amp I could find this month."
Fixed.
One morning at 3am in some Service Station on the way back from a gig we met a Ginsters Rep...... We told him that we survive on their food after gigs & wondered whether we could get an endorsement.... he wasn't impressed!
Tidy. I got sent a few freebies by Lapin Kulta*, is that an endorsement? *Tasty Finnish lager
 8. These work for me, try a search - there a couple of threads on here with far more info... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...rt_Strapps.html
 9. Deter amp thieves by buying a Peavey Combo 300. If they do chore it, you can catch up with them at the local hospitals back pain clinic.
 10. I settled on a DHA VT2-Twin-EQ-Bass after owning BDDI, Paradriver & Microbass II and deciding they were only pretending. YMMV.
 11.
To fill the seat you will need to be relatively on top of your game and more than just your standard indie/rock bassist...
Oh well.
 12.
Heya, If anyone's done the tonepump -> U retro upgrade would they mind dropping me a PM? Still do. And Brian Fox, of course. f***ing legend.
 14. 12 views & no replies? If you are confident that your wiring is good, then it sounds like a dodgy pot to me. I have had a pot like this in the past, a new one too. I thought the P-basss used 2 audio-taper pots? Ssouldn't be relevant to this fault though.
 15. D'Addario EXL165SL 4-string set with an XB130TSL low B, Stringbusters. £26 delivered. Smooth feel & even sounding, tapered B to fit the Spector bridge & just the gauges I like.
