1. I want to try a WMD out, it looks really versatile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NL3NXDj5DQg
2. I normally don't like this kind of thing, but can this guy can play, or what! Nice.
3. Here are the latest incarnations of my two boards. I'm still hankering after a Vintage Microtubes for the big board, and the Mooer on the small board isn't doing it for me, so that'll be swapped for something else soon.
4. I've got an accoustic 4 stringer, an old Ozark. The pick up feeds back a lot. So, I bought a feedback buster and it did the job. But as my sound hole is oval I had to cut it to shape. There's no worse feeling than buying something new and the first thing you do is go at it with a Stanley knife. Thankfully it worked out fine. Feedback problems sorted.
5.
But.....you know.....best make sure
He's right you know.
6.
I'm just not sure if the walls could handle it....
There's only one way to find out.........
7. I got this Demon a couple of months ago here on BC. With the second drive and the gate/boost mods. Awesome pedal. You just have to love the spangly red too
8. I'm more than happy with my Streamliner 600. The only thing I'd change it for is the 900. I don't have an issue with lack of mids, but my P has half wounds on as I'm not after a twangy mid focused tone, more like deep, rich and punchy. It sits under everything else on stage and it works for me.
9. I've been using Schallers for ever. Straplocks are essential. As a quick fix, the rubber washer from a Grolsch bottle do a fair job too.
10. I arrange the set lists by choosing the first 4 and the last 4 songs of each set first, then fill the gaps.
11. But there is a link on the site to BC. Will that cause any problems?
12. I use mine on my small board. The Zoom, then 2 OD's going through a twin looper with blends, on a Pedaltrain Nano. Most of the time it's just used as a boost so I can drive the pedals a bit more, so each pedal now has two flavours. But I also use it for flange, filter, octave & chorus here and there if I need them. But I have to plan ahead with those effects and select one before each song if I know I'm going to want to use it. I can live with the tuner too. It's a real space saver and does what I need it to.
13.
Might be a stupid question, but how would I make the speakers quiet when I DI to a mixer?
The master volume on the amp is completely independant of the DI output. Just turn it down to 0.
14. It sounds like a memorable night. Well done. We're all dead proud of you! I bet you can't wait for the next one eh?
15. Don't let the lack of aux in stop you buying your dream amp. That's daft. How about, buy the amp, the spend £30ish on a small mixer: http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/behringer-xenyx-502-premium-mixer--31558 Your iPod plugs in, so does your DI out of the amp. Headphones too. Easy. Job done.
16. Welcome Allie. I have actually slept in a gig bag, but that's another story. This is a great forum isn't it!
17. Hi H, glad you found your bass again. And us. Enjoy both
18. Don't try and cram arrangements etc into your head before the gig. You know the songs well enough by now, you'll be fine. Try and stay calm before you go on. And enjoy the pants off the whole experience And try to smile, look like you're having a good time!
19. I'll push ya!! Get it. If it doesn't do it for you, move it on. You're welcome
20.
What about the damneds or the sex pistolses, then?
And no unpleasant undertones either!
21. Thanks for the PMs, all answered. But the cab is sold pending the usual.
22. I work on a first come first served basis. Except, say, if I have a pub gig in for a Saturday night, that pub band accept that if I get a decent paying bigger gig for the same night with enough notice, I'll dep out theirs. I'm up front about it, it doesn't often happen, and it hasn't caused any problems so far. I also play in a bunch of bands, with very few clashes.
