1. Great post chris_b; short, concise and neatly expressed.
2. Forgive my ignorance but how can it be 57 and 83 at the same time? Is 57 a model and not a year? Or rather a year that is now a model rather than the actual year it was made. So a copy of a bass from 1957. Made in 1983. Is that how it works? Did I just answer my own question? Why am I here? Hello? Mother?
3. You should probably listen to something else then.

7. This bass could be yours, for the trifling sum of £39.99. Collection only from Penge in SE London. The price is firm and juicy.
8. If anyone wants me to go and pick it up for them, I'd be happy to.
9. £25 posted to your UK address £20 collected from my SE London address
10. I'm waiting to hear from someone else who enquired before you, so you're second on the list and I'll let you know. Thanks.

12. You could have a rule whereby it's the other band members who get to say if you're too loud, not you. So if anyone says "guitarist, you're too loud, turn it down", they have to. Or something.
13. Don't forget to buy cymbals! They're the things you should spend most money on, particularly hi hats. Drums are drums are drums, in my experience. Sort of.
14. This is yours for free, if you want it. Things to mention, as indicated in the picture: 1. Knob missing. The control itself still works and can be turned and adjusted. 2. This button is always pushed in, so it's always on. It can't be pushed out and off. 3. The whole unit's power button has gone. So once you plug it in (kettle lead, not supplied), the machine is on and ready to rock (well, enhance). The other thing is it doesn't have rack ears. As in, it used to have them, and now it doesn't, so there are gaps at the sides/ends. Apart from all that, the unit does actually work. I just have no need for it. Info here: http://www.behringer...cts/EX2200.aspx Collection only from Penge in SE London, during the day or in the evenings, whatever (I work from home so am always around, pottering, muttering to the cat, etc.)
15. If the provisionally gone person doesn't work out, I'll take it!

17. I read lots of really nice things about these people: http://www.fmraudio.com/rnp.htm Available here: https://www.kmraudio.../brands/fmr.php Oh, hang on, you want to go straight to your computer from it... so it has to have A/D converters as well. Hmm.
