Hi Paulo An Envelope filter comprises of two sections. The envelope detector ( which receives your signal dynamics) ,and the filter section. The loop on the GR2 places any effects put in it inbetween these two sections,so that effects commonly used with filter (octave/fuzz) do not trigger the envelope detector thus causing the filter to open from your effect, rather than the dynamics of your playing. Take a cable from the effects send to the input of the first pedal then another cable from the last pedals output to the return. If you want to use the effects in the loop without the filter, make sure the GR2 is set to buffered bypass via the internal trimpot. I use a very similar setup, a nice trick will be to put your Cali 76/T16 and whatever drive in the loop,as the comp will work as it should when playing normally, however it won't limit the dynamics when using the filter. It sounds huge with the T16 very synthy,My board is a bit further up this thread if you'd like a look and I have the bulk of my pedals in the wonderlove loop. How are you using the Q strip (as an additional EQ/DI?) As your EBS has really nice loop built in,which means you can put your fx into it and helps with signal purity. If you put it at the front of your chain, you'd be able to use it as a pre amp and an A/B switcher (although I realise the boss pedalboard has a built in fx loop for that purpose, and you won't be able to use the A/B facility) I'd move the HOF to after the GR2 too π

I could Be wrong! But I'm sure this bass used to belong to crazy Kiwi who used to frequent this forum a lot. The pickups were wizard and IIRC he installed a Knoll preamp. Maybe try messaging him! In fact if it's the same bass,It's in the Spector Thread in Gear porn section. Go to the first page and a few posts down. Tells how the Wizards were custom units and a Noll pre was installed. If I had The cash I'd be definately after this as I love Spectors π -

So as per my last thread, I've added the other pedals in the T70 loop. Now as above but with an EHX Bass Big Muff nano and the funky little MXR Bass Envelope filter π I've also moved the Cali76 into the wonderlove loop so the dynamics of the filter arn't affected. Works really well for synth tones.

I've been wondering the same thing! I'm a big fan if Tom's work and I've had a few of his pedals (my T70 is the core of my pedalboard) but yes,His site and Facebook have gone very quiet (unlike his political musings π) At least two years ago,he was hinting on his Facebook about new pedals and designs, but nothing's come of it. He's a family man,and maybe he's slowing things down, to spend time with his family? Maybe he'll make a big comeback. I hope so as I find his pedals to be more original and interesting than a lot of so called "Boutique" pedal builders flooding the market.

I've recently Emailed John East about the possibility of a 2 band classic ray pre that he has,, but with a push/pull active/passive and a passive tone control. My sterling has a Nordstrand vintage pickup,So I'd love the vintage 2 band circuit, with the ability to switch to a passive vintage (Joe Dart) style tone. Not heard anything back,So may email again, this thread has got me interested. I recently lost out on a 3 band circuit, due to funds, but I'll revisit plan A π

A very lovely smooth fuzz, that's perfect for bass. Based on the famous "Green Russian" muff from the 90's it already has load off bottom end. This has two modes your original fuzz sound or adds a 50/50 fuzz/clean blend which is perfect for you Chelsea Dagger/Sex on fire moments. It's also much much smaller than the original version and true bypass. It is in immaculate condition and was bought new by me. Unfortunately I don't have the box, but will be very well wrapped for postage. Β£50 incl UK only postage

Ooof! That will shake some walls. If you want to do less damage, but still sound fat! The Cog T16/65/70 or Aguilar Octamizer have a filter on the octave down, which when dialled fully makes it really fat and deep, turn the clean off. The Aguilar even has a tilting EQ ON the clean which can get very thumpy. Or the usual OC2 without the clean is nice and fat,the 3 leaf Octavbre does this too with a sub only and more volume.
