1. Having just posted a bass (insured I hasten to add) I notice in the T&C, they say "It must be able to withstand the impact of being dropped 1 metre". I have surrounded with helium balloons......
2. "I won the hellborg rig!" Hence the big grin on your avatar?
3. I got mine last week by post but regretably the Jonas Hellborg rig I was sure I would win must have fallen out of the wrapper. I'm following it up with the P.O. as we speak.......
4. Not that any of us would ask a seller to do that.......
5. Re inviting Mr Shuker: I think Jon's customers would prefer he spends his waking hours building their basses: knowing how hard he works I'd suspect he would politely decline the request. Maybe I should start a poll, should we invite JS?
6. It would be good to have someone really knowlegable do a little talk on something..... how about dragging Jim Fleeting along perhaps? plus obligatory Raffle of course....
7. Don't think he lives up the Toon now: he has a big place in Wiltshire amongst many others.
8. I've voted and to try and avoid 1st: Mackems at home!

13. Ha, was going to comment then realised I already had , nearly a year ago! This is an old thread!
14. The bassist from the Feeling plays one as well I believe?
15. Don't get me started on flat cap etiquette...
16. Thanks Joe and birdy , they were both fascinating.
17. Sorry to buck the trend but they basically misled me re the condition of a bass I bought from them, and swore blind it did not come with accessories despite me having the details from the manufacturers website. This was not a cheap bass so I kept a diary of all the misinformation and hassle over a month and sent it to their MD. Subsequently bought items that have been fine but some of the things that make them good ( easy returns) can bite you if you buy that return and they try and pass it off as brand new.
18.
LOL, nice try. If you're in the vicinity of West London, you're certainly welcome to pop around and have a go on them. But yes, its the Gherkin. The load in is going to be very interesting - mostly via express lifts I suspect. How about a free jar of advocado hummous instead?
Hasn't someone from here already played the Gherkin? I know if we played there we'd probably get in a bit of a pickle...
19. My G&L's had a small piece of abrasive ( like wet'n' dry) paper in between, presumably as a slight deterent to further movement ( despite 6 neck screws). Mr Shuker suggested double sided tape( not the foamy stuff) if I wanted to do the same with the Fender clone with 4 screws I built.
20. Not sure how I'd adapt to 5 speeds.....
21. Pete, I'd love to come and see you play but it would take me seven days in this weather! Have a good one anyway!
22. "Denim" Maybe you could stone wash it first, or put cuts around the ports or even have a flared bottom?
23. I suppose with a name like "Stringbusters"you can expect a few bust strings.......I'll get me fleece!
