  1. Responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I paid @Dave808 on Thursday night and had his Tascam pocket studio in my hands on Saturday morning. It's exactly as described, i.e. brand new, and I couldn't ask for a better experience.
  2. I sold Ian a Comfort Strapp. It was an easy and straightforward transaction. Cheers!
  3. I bought some flatwounds from Etienne. They were in great condition as promised, and sent super fast.

  6. Russ is nice and easy to deal with. This was a simple transaction for a couple of strap locks but it went smoothly!
  7. I sold Gary some strap locks. He was a pleasure to deal with, and everything went well.
  8. Yamaha RBX200F with EMG P pickups. Made in Taiwan. It's light, easy to play, and the tuners are superb. There are some scratches around the knobs (maybe a previous owner had claws during the full moon?) and a few minor blemishes that are quite hard to see or to photograph. There's a little scuffing on the back of the neck, but it's more something you can see than something you can feel. It's a basic but well made instrument, ideal if you want to dip a toe into fretless. Weight: 3.5 kg (7 lb 11 oz). I'd prefer to hand it over somewhere in London, but I would consider posting it for about £20. Payment accepted via bank transfer or PayPal (either F&F or add the fees on top). w/
  9. These are all for sale separately or together. Postage will be a couple of quid on top. I'm also happy to entertain offers. 10. My eyes! I don't like the aesthetics of Fodera at the best of time, but that's appalling. But the back is even worse: They've just hacksawed the key off a Hipshot D-tuner, haven't they? Monstrous.
  11. My guess would be that you're connected via IPv6, but the web shop software only accommodates shorter IPv4 addresses. You could try disabling IPv6 in your network connection settings.
  12. Many years ago, feeling a bit flush after a year or so in my first job in London, I went down to Denmark Street with the intention of buying a Les Paul. I tried a few but wasn't impressed with any of them. I came away with a Korean-made Love Rock, which I still have and love.
  13. I can recommend one of these for making clean, visible, scratch-offable dots: Uni paint marker
  14. I don't have any unlined basses, but my shamisen (the thing I'm playing in my profile photo) has no markings at all, except for a couple of dots I've put at the equivalent of the 5th and 12th fret positions. Since I've been playing without fret markers, I've found that my ability to find my way around the neck on fretted instruments has really improved: I have a better innate understanding of intervals now.
  15. I've seen worse. Here's my 1977 Music Man Stingray II guitar. Just look at that neck pickup, especially under the high E! It's not a construction or assembly problem: the whole guitar was designed wonky. The bridge is daft, too, just like the original Stingray basses. It sounds good, though.
  16. Amanda Palmer was on 6music the other evening, playing ukulele in a very non-twee manner (e.g. the cover of Idioteque by Radiohead at about 32:10).
  17. "bass guitar" + used It's definitely not new, anyway!
