1. ON HOLD PENDING
2. Vintage Sunburst Epiphone TBird Pro IV fitted with Hipshot DTuner. Bought it from Andertons reduced as it had been damaged (the damage had shaved the finish off the bottom back edge of the bass, just bellow the controls.) also has a nick to the neck - have showed both in the photo's. Active pickups, Through neck. Comes with a well padded gig bag big enough for it!! Due to the size and the fact its a through neck collection only or willing to meet within 20 miles of Tamworth. With D Tuner now £170 Available without the DTuner for [s]£150[/s].£130 Would be silly to drop any lower as we're now getting into the price range of a bolt on epiphone Thunderbird IV, and the DTuner is brand new and cost me £90... Last chance before I withdraw it. Trade options - I could be swayed by a good quality p bass body (MIM or similair) in white or 3ts preferably, 62RI pickups, Fender 70's style tuners, or possibly a Squier Caborinita
3. Got myself an Allparts neck from the states so this is now up for sale. Maple fretboard with a well applied 1960's style Fender logo. Only issue (and it is a small one!) is when fitting a string retainer the screw was slightly too long, and the tip poked slightly through the back of the headstock. £50 + £10 postage (have a nice box that conveyed the allparts neck from the states) You can see the small mark made to the rear by the overlong screw here
4. Say hello to the triplets. My two Allparts/MIM bitsers and MIJ 62 RI with Photoflame finish... One in the middle is a work in progress. Going to get 62RI pickups and Gotoh 201 (same as the one on the left). The two bitsers are so good Im considering moving on the 62RI.
5. Looks legit to me. Pots could have been replaced.
6. Cruddy iPhone picture, but this is my latest. Hit by the realisation that what I would like would be beyond what I could afford/justify, built it myself. Went for the "Bruce Foxton" look. Allparts type neck (was a factory second due to a mineral stain on the reverse) with 70's fender logo and 70's style necklpate (I intend to put a joke serial on this of 301306 which would be a 71 P, 13/06 being my birthdate in that year - not to mislead anyone - just because I cant afford a YOB Bass!!), Black MIM "Genuine Fender Spares" body (cavitys all shielded out with copper tape), 70's style tuners from (I believe) Steve Harris sig bass, Gotoh 201 bridge, 3 ply BWB pickguard, Fender 62 RI Pickups, and cloth wired (to match the pickups) CTS pots (500k's though I may swap them out for 250's at some point), sprague 0.1uf capacitor and Switchcraft Socket. The neck is sprayed with Amber tint Nitro - wasnt quite the light Amber I was expecting (more like an extra from "The only Way is Essex..") but it works. Plays great, sounds great, and a quarter of the cost of buying a decent nick 1971 P.
7. Or even the fact its a Thunderbird IV not a Classic Pro IV? Dont the Classic Pro IV have the jack socket on the edge of the body, not the front which the bass in the post appears to have? Epiphone Thunderbird IV Classic Pro IV Tbird Pro IV
8. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trace-Elliot-GP7SM-250-Bass-Amp-/231090102213?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35ce0b1fc5 I had one of these from new in the 90's - fantastic combo, virtually bulletproof. If it wasnt so damn far away I'd be all over it as a backup to my Ampeg.
9. Someones school project I'd guess
10. last month a Roadster RB900 (I THINK.. the one with the single humbucker) was up near me and whent for peanuts. Had no cash. This month have had a clearout and not a sniff..
11. Ibby Roadstar (Looks like a Blazer) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141111427730?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 day to go, no bids, £120
12. Not sure, but I had the opposite problem with my Korean Epi T - the original pickups were and still are horrifcally low output. They're not active ones are they?
13. Ah Right cheers. Have a few things up at the moment and that made me nervous!!
14. Who was the buyer mate?
15. Might be a nice sounding beast. Depends whether you want it to play or hang on a wall and admire I suppose. What I hate is these companies that must break up vintage fenders to sell as parts.
16. Time travel is possible...! That is a stunner Gary, looks like its just rolled off the production line!
17. Suprised by the above. Just done a deal with stevie for some Tuners which has gone just fine. I've had dealings with him before and never experienced any issues, he's a good bloke.
18. [sub]I so wanted this. But I'd just bought a new Fender replacement body and Im broke. Been after one for ages.[/sub]
19. Its nice. I'll give it that. Just not £12k nice.
