1. Traded my Epi TBird pro IV for Karl's 90s Squier P. Poor bloke had several of my basses thrust at him and had a good chat. All round decent and patient bloke.
2.
There's no reason to believe the neck's warped. There's also no reason to believe it's a scam, either, in fact I'm struggling to understand exactly how it could be a scam. The seller has masses of mostly-good feedback and clearly sells on Ebay all the time - they currently have 130+ items listed. Chances are, the bass' owner doesn't have an Ebay account and just happens to know this person. Thisn is a straight-up auction for a beat-up JV that's been in someone's loft for the last 20 years, and prior to that, has had a hard life of abuse & neglect like 99% of budget, second-best, throwaway cheap JapCrap instruments. It's always good to remind oneself how these instruments were seen in their day, and why it is they're so scarce now. Most of them will have been chucked in landfills decades ago. Jon.
In so far as an extremely brief check on the net would suggest to those uninformed that people are willing to pay well over the odds for a JV series Squier, so from someone who obviously sells a lot on Fleabay to show little knowledge, be selling it for a friend, etc etc just seems odd. So could it be it has serious issues, the seller is well aware what it is and is playing off people's wanting to get one cheap to sell on for a profit by playing dumb?

This is the best precision I ever owned. It just felt "right" and it sounded fantastic. I kick myself sometimes over selling it. But hey ho..
13. *SOLD* to the man from the home of the SAS..!
14. In fact just had it out to look at the headstock... And looked at bank balance... Grrrrr... Second thoughts kicking in... I
15. It is light, and we're not cash flow a little rickety it wouldn't be going anywhere. Did the FSR end up staying?
16. The original bridge was just a generic BBOT... unfortunately I have several in my parts box so it'd be dificult to guess which one it is. Main reason for getting one of the AVRI bridges fitted.
17. As far as I know it's not a refinish, and they used transfers for the logo on these anyway. The only thing I've done to it in the short time I've had it is use some light burnishing cream to clean some DNA and tobacco residue from the headstock! Can't see any evidence of overspray and the logo is well under the lacquer.
18.
Whats the deal with the logo?
Can you elaborate on what you mean?
19. Don't get what you mean?
20. Having built two Precisions using Allparts and Fender parts that I am in love with, and needing to thin the flock, this has to go. 1993 Fender Made in Japan Photoflame precision. I have replaced the gaudy red Tort pickguard and replaced it with a Mirrored gold one, and fitted a bridge from a US 62RI with the threaded saddles (Bought from Jimbobothy). Other than that it is pretty much as it was when I took it in trade it from bagsieblue earlier in the year. I still have the red pickguard (seen a couple of early 90's fotoflames with this as standard) and I'll throw it in with the sale or trade. There is some damage to the rear by the chest cutaway and just below the lower horn and a few scuffs/scrapes, all of which were pre-existing, and I've tried to show these in the pics. Both the neck and body are stamped PB-62. Due to the bit of cosmetic damage/roadwear Ive priced it at a realistic £300 for a quick sale. Postage will come in at £20 on top of that. Comes with an Ernie Ball strap and Schaller type straplocks, and a Spider hard case from Fightcase Warehouse Id really prefer a straight sale, BUT if someone has an Ibanez Roadster rs900tv OR any combination of 62RI Pickups/70's Schaller style Fender Tuners/Decent quality (i.e. MIM or similair) P bass body plus cash.. might be swayed.
