1. Says he with a wry smile... looking forward to saturday when I'll be doing something you dont do very often... hopefully pictures Sunday... leaves you all in suspence.. Peace!
2. I popped in to see Trev last weekend, and the place is like the Tardis. Only more exiting!
3. Which would it be? I was thinking about this whilst drifting through Youtube when the wife was out at a friends. Not for reasons of virtuosity or anything else, just because you'd like to. Myself I was thinking somewhere between The Wildhearts , Sprigsteens East Street Band and The Gaslight Anthem. Not particularly based on my ability or the ability of the bass players or the amount of money they make/dont make. They are just three bands that when i hear songs by them I think "I want to be on stage playing that song, and the band looks a blast".
4. Considering it's designed more as a guitar amp sim than bass orientated you can get some nice sounds out of the Amplion Free
5. I didnt like the bass sounds on Guitar Rig. Amplion? I like my Aplitube SVX
6.
Where are you based?
Tamworth Mate, about 10 miles north of Birmingham
7. [sub]*BUMP For price reduction[/sub]
8. Due to the recent influx of a very nice USA P from these very pages I have decided to move this one on. Its a 1996 Mexican made "Traditional" P bass (The ones with the black Fender logo) bought from a fellow basschatter a while back. Black body, rosewood F/B. There is a bit of buckle rash and the odd chip as would be expected from a bass thats 17 odd years old.The nut is quite narrow (Almost Jazz Like). The bass will come with a virtualy brand new Spider Hardcase (bought from Flightcase Wharehouse a month or so back and hasn't left the house since). Fitted with B/W/B Pickguard, and Gotoh 201 High Mass Bridge. Also fitted genuine Fender "F" Neckplate as shown in the pictures. [s]£300 Collected or £320 Posted [/s]Now £250 collected/£270 posted Will consider suitable trades - suprise me (Basses, other musical items, Amp heads...)
9. I think my Uncle has one in his loft...
10. Smashing ta. This is either going to work briliantly or I'm going to make a total hash of it.
11. Does anyone know the external diameter of the String Ferrules on a US P? I've aquired a set of ferrules and a through-body bridge and am looking to convert my bitser to through-body stringing and don't have anything to accurately measure the diameter.
12. Seems that bidder bids all of his "big" items up to a level then disapears.. how odd.
13. Bless...! they uploaded the wrong Photo. They said Beautiful Custom Guitar when the one pictured clearley isnt....
14. Already posted on here.
15. I believe they also produced a model for the Irish market, called the "Jaysus". Due to the lack of success they were re-branded and handed out with Happy Meals as the "Piece-o-crap" painted in Ronald McDonalds signature Yellow with a red Pickguard.
16. Need Your Love So Bad - Peter green (Great for developing "Feel" and Vibrato) Communication Breakdown - Led Zeppelin (Stamina with a couple of runs) Decadance Dance - Extreme (has some nice bits in there that give a beginner a buzz when they get them)
17. There will always be someone willing to bid it up just on the offchance, particularly those who dont know a great deal about the difference between a genuine and copy fender.
18.
The black forearm chamfer says its not solid wood, might be block sandwich.
One of the japcrap P's I own is like that. Is basicaly a 2 piece body with a cap on the top and bottom.
19.
Yes, I used mine through an Eden Nemesis 410, and Barefaced Compact & Midget set-up. Sounded great with these. The only cab I didn`t think it worked well with was my Marshall VBC412.
I use mine with the PF210 and PF115 Gigging, and with a Peavey 1x15 at rehersal. Wouldn't change it (unless i win that Purple PF-800!!). The Ampeg Cabs are light as anything - one handed lift. Oh and i took your Advice on the Precision Lozz and bought that Wine Red FSR from here - It is gorgeous.
20. Thats rather good stuff
21.

Now that is a thing of beauty. When i was younger rep precisions did nothing for me, but i am developing an unholy attraction to Candy apple red.
22. Ahhhhg YOB Precision jealousy attack. Whats the going rate for a kidney!!!
23. Usualy hides a ply body
24. Bodies not a genuine fender for a start, Dont think I've ever seen a Genuine fender of any age with that amount of black on the forearm recess.
25. Welcome from another Lynott Fan - did the Vibe this year, visited his grave whilst in Dublin.
