1. After an awful lot of soul searching (and the recent acquisition of a MIM Precision) I have come back around to my Fender love affair. So up for grabs is my Epiphone T-Bird Pro IV with fitted Epiphone hard case. Good points: Very nice, solid through neck bass, neck is lovelly.Active electronics give it a bit more sound variation than a standard Epi Thunderbird Bad points: Bass: A bit of damage to the rear of the top wing - had this when I got it (Bought as a shop damaged from Andertons). Have sanded and fine sanded it back so it isnt rough, and there are no sharp edges that could encourage further damage to the finish. Unintentionally roadworn! This can only be seen from the back of the bass and isnt visible from he front. Case: Also has a small amount of damage to one of the corners due to a muppet at the courier that delivered it. Pic's will be posted in a bit (Waiting for the camera to charge!!) bellow: Specs as follows: BASS

Epiphone T-PRO™ bass humbuckers
Classic through-neck construction
Flush-Mount, fully adjustable
SPECIFICATIONS

Body: mahogany
Neck: 7-piece (walnut / maple / walnut / maple / walnut / maple / walnut)
Neck Profile: SlimTaper™
Neck joint: Through-Neck
Truss Rod: Double-Action, 2-Way
Fingerboard: rosewood
Fingerboard Radius: 12”
Frets: 20-medium jumbo, nickel/silver alloy
Scale Length: 34”
Nut Width: 1.50" (4-string)
Neck Pickup: Epiphone T-PRO Bass Humbucker
Bridge Pickup: Epiphone T-PRO Bass Humbucker
Bridge: Flush-Mount, fully adjustable
Controls: Master Volume, Blend, High-EQ, Low-EQ
Tuners: Premium die-cast 17:1 ratio
Outputs: 1/4" Mono, Metal Jack Plate
Hardware: Black
CASE This hardshell case for the Epiphone Tunderbird is a rugged wood case covered in Tolex and featuring padded plush lining, heavy-duty handle, and accessory compartment. Super-tough hinges and drawbar latches. The Thunderbird Hardshell Case's contoured design saves weight while still providing maximum protection. Please note this fits both Thunderbird and Thunderbird Pro basses. Bass retails for £250 now and the case £60. Due to the dinks mentioned I'm looking for somewhere around the £200 mark for both together. Prefer collection as Bass + Case weigh a lot. OR.. Would be willing to trade, Ideally for a Mexican Fender or Squier VM or CV Jazz or P. Possibly a decent Japcrap P or J, or anything interesting Amp or Bass wise..

 3.
oiled the pots and honed the intermittent output jack socket.......The thumb rest appears to have had previous positions from screw holes left around; I have moved it yet again as it was too close to the strings certainly was no help there, and even stopped you striking the bass string properly.
Translation: I looked at it then sprayed WD40 on it. Then I decided to wreck the body by screwing the thumbrest in a totaly stupid place and completely ignore the obvious location for it (I'M right, fender were WRONG) It had no tuners, so I put a set of Left handed ones on. I'm sure no one will notice... BOOM another bodged bass for the unwary.. I could kiss myself.
 4.
Well found, now you mention it, I thought I'd seen it before! So it looks real but a scam?
Looks very much like it. The original US ad' was 2010 or 2011.

 6. Er.. guys.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-1958-FENDER-PRECISION-BASS-SUNBURST-/220728315139 Pictures look familiar? Wear on the back is identical, as are the curtains ......
 7. And bank transfer only? I'm thinking Hijacked profile, and someone finding themselves either bass-less and 2 grand down or looking at a very expensive fake.
 8. shouldn't it have (or at least have evidence of having) a strap button onnthe rear of the headstock?
 9.
£50!!! what the ****! It's hit and miss whether the seller would have to pay an excess to have someone take it off his hands. Crazy world.
It's probably "Mark D Phillips" thats bid on it. There will be a gurning picture of our Beardy friend holding it in various poses witha £200+ pricetag soon!
 10. Please tell me this didnt sell Matt!
 11. Bought Andy's Mexican P - great bloke, great coms, very well packaged, and delivered right when he said.
 12. Looks more like the Septic tank leaked into the cellar and he used it to bale it out...
 13. If someone made a car that looked like an Aston Martin for the price of a Focus, with the Focus's reliability then the people who bought it are unlikely to be in the same demographic as those who'd buy a genuine Aston. I'd probably buy a Rickenbacker copy but I'm not likely to buy a Rickenbacker. Sorry to the brand snobs (Same as those who get huffy when people say a MIM or Squier cannot be as awesome as a USA made bass). You hardly stand there and think "Hmmm.. do I buy a Real rolex or a knock-off?". If you have the cash you buy a real one.
 14. To poorly quote Billy Sheehan on anything with more than four strings "I have a couple of five strings at home. I find most people dont give enough time to get good on a four string first" *interviewer* -"How long is that?" *Sheehan* - "About 20 years" or something like that
 15. If he was a dog breeder, the RSPCA would have him on a pole outside the tower of london...
 16.
Looks like a Badass in the video, but other pics show a standard CV high mass bridge with brass saddles. The pickup has massive pole pieces like an SPB-3 Quarter Pounder though, and there's no tone control! http://media.fmicdir...frt_wlg_001.jpg I prefer the look of the Matt Freeman model though.
That one is probably his personal one at a guess
 17. I have a '96 MIM coming next week courtesy of here. I've owned a 76, had the pleasure of playing a 67 and I've tried MIJ genuine and copies, plus a whole host of copies. Can't comment on the MIM till it gets here, but I genuinley prefer my 70's MIJ Maya copy over the '76 I owned, reminds me of my mates old 67. Tried a Musicman and hated it. A great bass player will get a good sound out of a cheap set-up, whereas it doesnt matter how much cash you throw about a c*** one will still sound c***. Sure I'd likje a late 70's P again, but thats a mixture of nostalgia and "Label Blindness". Probably rather have a couple of Greco's or Tokai Hardpunchers for the same money. It's about what youre comfortable with. Not "I spent a thousand on a bass so I'm superior to you, and you only say different because you're jealous that you cant afford it"
 18. Saw this the other day. Looks nice, agree about the Matt Freeman though. Wouldn't mind both to be fair.
 19. he outbid me on a Japcrap bass a while ago. Then promptly destroyed the truss rod with his expert "Guitar Improving" skills and tried to sell the neck..
 20. A mate has just imported one of these from the US - he bought it up for a set-up today. Wow - just WOW. Lovelly bass - not a Geddy Lee fan at all, but it was a beautiful instrument.
 21. and this.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEVIS-SLEEVELESS-DENIM-JACKET-/120986003991?pt=UK_Men_s_Coats_Jackets&hash=item1c2b53ea17
 22. Go well with this mate http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Red-Shiny-Spandex-Footless-Leggings-Medium-/190287532030?pt=UK_Women_s_Trousers&hash=item2c4e054ffe ......
 23. +1 again for the PF500. They got a bad pres a while ago, only ever had an issue with a dodgy cab at a dodgy rehersal place. It's portability is great - I shove the head in a bag and use it for rehersals through the studio's Peavey 1x15. Not tried the GK but I love my PF-500 to bits.
 24.
That is the only bass I've ever liked with white pickup covers.
The White ones on my Maya will be going when/if I get some more Wizards
 25. My latest P '70s Maya Japcrap. After a good set-up, it plays like butter. Just need to get a set of Wizards for it possibly...
