  1. Twice! Starts with the Spector, then a black Stingray and finishes with Betsy!!!
  2. Hi John, is the 'kill' option effectively open circuit? Would it isolate the battery if it was an active bass? It would save having to keep removing lead between sets if so.
  3. For years and years that song has been popping into my head, with me having no idea who it was, many thanks for randomly clearing up one of my annoying little niggles!!
  4. I love these kind of stories, congratz to RK7 for the getting the bass he wants despite everything that came at him!
  5. Would I have got a point for 'the theme from arena'?
  6. My wife is a big fan, we saw her solo a couple of years back and she had the whole audience spellbound for 2 hours or so. Even when her PA failed as she was about to do her last number, she just carried on, we all joined in...special moment.
  7. That colour is amazing.....but I don't NEED another bass...........😍
  8. Aha..makes sense, but only if you add the before pic!
  9. One of my guitarists sent me drums only for Schools Out the other day, with a view to me laying down the bass line, then he gonna add guitars and pass to singist. drummer can't set up at home hence the you tube isolated drums. that's a more complicated bass line than I was expecting! And in trying to get it all in i'm definitely getting behind the beat, which apparently caused the guitarist all kinds of issues when he tried putting his part on top. still, its something to do until we can all get together again.
  10. Its the version my band does, absolutely love it! Still not there with the tone though.......
  11. I bought this dvd when it came out, and when I heard Jonathan Noyce's tone, highlighted nicely here, I knew I'd found what I wanted, so full, with a touch of grit. Of course, reproducing it without carting round an effing great Ampeg stack....not quite so easy......
  12. He was using a boss ME50B in these videos as his gig rig is packed up in a big lorry somewhere waiting for Saucerful Of Secrets to go on tour.
  13. Another big Thumbs up for @TimAl he's done a couple for me now, the SUB just a couple of weeks back. Lovely chap, and very quick, even given the current climate,.
  14. AC/DC......I really must learn that bit....cracked me up!! If that was the serious moonlight tour, yep I was there..horrendous sunburn lol Ditto, didn't know anything about Guy or Icehouse at the time!
  15. Wait what? I thought today was 31st......damn I've been had! Curse you corona virus for making all the days seem the same *shakes fist*
  16. Wow.......watch this space I guess.......
  17. That is a cracking tune, been a staple in our set list for night on 10 years, along with Midnight Blues by Gary Moore
  18. Boogie with Stewblack? Led Zep wasn't it?
  19. The coloured bands on resistors are a code giving you their rating, that one is 10,000 ohm resistance, with a tolerance of plus or minus 5%. If you are serious about having a go yourself, when I did mine I ended up buying a pack of 10 or so, I can have a root around and see if I can find the rest and bung one in the post.
