  1. Yamaha barrel jacks ain't good, they never grip very well I find, its the same on my Yam 5 too.
  2. Sorry bud, me too, had my smoothound for years and I use the same setup when plugging into my Yamaha (edge mounted barrel jack, kept falling out when plugged in directly)
  3. I really like the dinky ones, take up no room at all in the pocket of my jeans Must be on my 5th now, bits break, get lost etc.....
  4. Never without my swiss army doodad https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Victorinox-Unisex-Classic-Swiss-Knife/dp/B001U571SI/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=victorinox&qid=1599768522&sr=8-12
  5. Hi peeps Can I invert the colours on the site, so the background is dark instead of white?
  6. Lozz is a top bloke, I'm sure you'll come to a good arrangement Oh and welcome to basschat!!
  7. I think the colour in the 1st pic is wonderful, I have a bitsa in purple burst, nowhere near as pretty as that though...
  8. I've had signatures turned off for so long....I had no idea what I was missing!!
  9. iLove that shade of red, plus I'm a fan of painted over natural wood anyway. Difference in sound, in a band situation would be so slight, just choose the one YOU like the look of.
  10. So for the slight hijack there Stew.....I'll stop now!
  11. Sorry folks its Mine..ALL MINE I TELL YOU. Nice little road trip and I now have another p type bass lol. This one is so much kookier than a Fender though, I think me and it are gonna get along just fine
  12. There is some Dutch radio station that regularly plays our cover version of a well know Rock ditty, and namechecks us as well, I don't know why but its nice to be recognised somewhere......
  13. After much faffing on my part, I made up my mind, and had a little road trip today to collect the Lodestone P Bass from Jamie, lovely chap, and very knowledgeable to boot, came home very satisfied. You can certainly deal with Jamie with confidence.
  14. Sounds like I'm a bit out of the route then, Good luck Stew!!
  15. Ok so how far down the M1 have you got it planned so far? I'm up for a run up as far as about Rugby, and can hold in MK or take as far west as Reading if that helps join some dots?
  16. Fool for your Loving re released in A was awful overprodruced dross, the original in G is far superior IMO!!
  17. We're all different I guess, Trevor Rabin always felt like a one trick pony in Yes, whereas to me Howe always brought something different, ok in the clips above Rabin emulates Howe pretty well, but give me Howe in his prime any day.
  18. Fair play to ya Lozz, I tried ...and failed, so tweaked it a bit for my lot, great tune, love playing it!
