Well if they inherited it then £650 is £650 for nothing. The info is lifted straight from somewhere else, about 3 mins work including typing "Gibson L-5 CES Archtop Jazz Guitar' into Google and choosing the top result. There are a few others out there with the angled bridge - a quick google images search shows that. No idea why it's as cheap as it is though (it's a g*itar so I don't care too much!)

Where is he based? Maybe someone can take round some scales and do an independant weigh in for you.

No way is it 7Kg - it's heavy but not THAT heavy.
