1.
Quite a lot of mistakes in that transcription though, chords are wrong too. Also, when transcribing for a de-tuned instrument, the notes/key should be written as played, not as sounded. i.e. the score should have been written in C so you could still read it on a transposed instrument. (If you de-tuned your bass and read the notes, your first note would be a Bb)
When a bass guitar is in different tuning, it's still in concert pitch! You're merely changing the note that is produced with an open string, not what key the instrument is in. Tabs, would change, for sure, but there would be no diffrence in the way a score was written surely? EDIT: Have now read what you were referring to - essentially we were saying the same thing! Sorry......

4.
Yep, although it now has the Badass 1 as per it should, I also have an NJ one, fair bit less fancy looking.
Are they coming to the Cardiff Bass Day???
5. Welcome! I think you should put pics up of the Tokai in one of the Porn threads for people to drool over! Also, you said Willie Weeks was a bass hero, you're obviously too modest to tell people you worked with him!
6.
You've linked to the "Ibenez" (potential barg because of the literacy issue) twice, so I can't see the Commodore in question, but if it's one of the old ones then quite possibly. The Commodore brand has been sighted on recent cheap Chinese copies, not seen it on a new bass though. Jon.
Thanks Jon, fixed it now. By the way, It has the "Steel Adjustable Neck" plate that you mentioned.
7. Yeah that's all I could find on him too.
8. Wow this is one sexy beast! Never really noticed Bc Rich's before but I waaaaaaaaant this! As you can tell, I'm on the ebay trawl today! EDIT: Although, obviously, it's just a poor man's Thunder II!
9. Commodore Are these Matsumoku's? I found this thread http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=9999 still unclear!
10. Another 'Ibenez' Roadster There's a few at the moment so apologies if this has been posted already.

15.
I play in a blues / rock / psychadelica / etc trio (mostly covers, some originals) and we're about to start gigging ... but are stuck on what to wear on stage. If it helps, our band is called "The Rude Grooves" and we're using 70's porn movie posters as the basis for our promos (which actually works out a bit classier than you might think). I am no fashion diva, but I know we want to dress a little different / better than the audience... but not so much we're doing the 60s / 70s hippy thing, or end up wearing suits. G/f is not much help as she varies between 'you look good in anything', 'what about this?' (showing horrendous outfit found via google) and 'if you look too good for other women, I'll kill you'. Maybe some examples from other people will help? Oh ... and I'm (ahem) almost 40, our drummer is tattooed and pierced and in his 20s, guitar player / singer is a dead ringer for one of the Proclaimers and in his early 20s.
In the ska band, it's easy - we wear black and white and pork pie hats. In the funk band, anything so long as it's shiny.
16. Any Meters track has groove aplenty, but right now I'm seriously digging Hey Pocky A-Way And Sly Stone's 'In Time' is crazily simple AND complex at the same time - love it!
17. Motown - recommended listening? Yes.
18. 'Soviet' 'Yamaha' ? What's going on here?
19. Good site! Looking forward to seeing you guys on Saturday in Cardiff!
20. I used to have one of Dave Pegg's old basses - it was a pearl Riverhead that he'd had defretted. Very nice it was too!
21.
Any chance of a straight sale? Cheers, Matt
Hi Matt, Not really I'm afraid, unless I see a Thunder II or III elsewhere. But if I do, I'll let you know.
22.
If I had a Thunder II or III I'd do a straight swap, no hesitation. Regrettably, I don't. Jon.
Haha thanks anyway! I'll trade you a picture of a Superheadless for one of a Thunder II.
23. Hi, I was lucky enough to find and buy this super headless only a few weeks ago, thinking that I would love it as much as my Thunder 1A. Unfortunately, I don't! It's a great bass but it doesn't have the same feel as the Thunder. What I really really really want is a Thunder IIA or III so I have the feel of the Thunder IA but with added sustain and an extra pickup! So are there any Westone lovers out there who have a spare Thunder IIA or III and want to add this Super Headless to their collection? I will add pics later when I'm at home, but for now here's the link to some I took when I bought it. Cheers! 24. will you trade for a van load of clown make-up, banana skins and 300 cases of silly String? EDIT: Sorry just saw it's sensible offers only, sorry!
