Awesome. Was very critical of the pricepoint of these when they were released, but it would be cheeky not to at this price... Just snagged the oak fronted one from same seller. That's my Christmas present to myself sorted out!

And, as discussed previously on these pages, the CTM15 is not "ALL VALVE". The preamp is solid state (see pic). Opamps and trannies in there. Ashdown and Hayden use the same PCB for CTM15 bass and MoFo 15 guitar amps. The unoccupied V3 socket in the pic is for the "magic eye" valve on the MoFo 15. Didn't stop me buying one for messing around the house with though! !

In the 2nd picture the cabinet covers the lettering on the faceplate in places ("input" and "f.x." on the left). Something doesn't look right there... Could be angle of the photo I suppose but I don' think so in this case. Whatever way you cut it the LB30 was way cooler than the CTM30... Perhaps misguided in the naming, but otherwise cooler!!! AND narrower... CTM30 is 3" wider than the height of the One10. As I mentioned in the Tweedy thread, one of the reasons I sold my CTM30 is that it was wider than my Barefaced Two10, which I use vertically (same 15" as the One10 is tall).

I should have said 3" too wide at best (it was one of the reasons I sold my CTM30 - looked all wrong on my Two10! Ironically the LB30 would have been a perfect fit...). Barefaced have changed logo position when asked, although I don't recall if that was on a cloth or steel grill version...

CTM30 is 3" too wide. Most folks OCD wouldn't allow it!

Think the price would scare me off. Big $ being talked about...

Wondering how you arrive at that? Similar setup to the GK MB200 and there don't seem to be issues there.

Not for a valve amp. Solid state, maybe. An inefficient driver would be the ticket. I've yet to try the CTM15 unfortunately. Mad, mad busy the last few weeks... And I keep forgetting it's under my desk at work!!!

I don't think I'm misunderstanding anything. What you refer to as a reality is an opinion. One I wholeheartedly disagree with based on my own experience of working for multinational corporations. None of them make guitars but that's beside the point. I'm certainly not misunderstanding you calling me stupid because I don't agree with you. We can discuss your emotional maturity at length if you want, but I'm not sure this is quite the right place!

Didn't miss it, but if it was an issue at all wouldn't you have addressed it? Would have "done my napper in" as they say round here!

Apologies Alan. I did find the video thought provoking. My first thought was how come Alan doesn't charge more?... I say that fully acknowledging the irony of it considering our recent email conversation!

So what you're saying is these manufacturers move production from countries like Japan to countries like Indonesia to help the Indonesian economy? And you think the guy in the video is being naive? I'd say he's not the only one. What you describe is a side effect of companies chasing the lowest cost of production. Plain and simple. As soon as it becomes cheaper to produce guitars to certain standards and schedules and in the required quantities elsewhere in the world, a corporation will move production because the bottom line profitability is all that matters to them. It would be nice to think they're moving production from country A to country B just to help out all the B population, but that is rose tinted viewing at best. I've seen it in every company I've ever worked for, current one especially.
