1. this was an awesome first gig! we had a great (if very sweaty) time and the full bar appeared to be having a very good time too! The promoter was so excited he insisted we give an encore and has since given us 2 more bookings as he wants to keep us too busy to talk to other promoters Link to a few pics Gigs thread - first post
2. ...and here's another! This is us: https://www.facebook...RailroadCompany Playing at: The Green Room I imagine it all starts at 8, everything seems to start at 8...come along if you're in town
3. Well, the first was so mind meltingly awesome that the promoter desparately wants us to play again, we snapped up the next dates he had available! This is us: https://www.facebook.com/FargoRailroadCompany Playing at: The Cremorne I imagine it all starts at 8, everything seems to start at 8...come along if you're in town
4. The DHA VT1 will give you a very passable valve grind tone (as it's a valve preamp pedal) even via a solid state amp, it really does sound brilliant! In fact...I loved mine so much I got an all valve orange rig and now I'm really really happy with my sound
5. I loved the sixpack that I had a few years back, it did indeed look very much like a dalek! This is a great price for an awesome rig glwts matey
6.
Is this some sort of home made Mattocaster on the left?
Yep, tele neck and yes he made the body based roughly on the Manson's Matt Bellamy shape, looks v nice in the flesh/wood and balances really very sweet too.
7. that's me on the right of the shot with my band (links in my sig) playing our first gig together this Friday (13th June), superb night and we went down really well! Is it normal for the promoter to demand you give an encore on your first gig (the other band didn't get one)...
8. Playing our own blend of Americana, rock and country we had our first gig together last night (Friday the 13th June) and we went down rather well On second, the only band of the three to get clamorous applause and a demand for an encore from the promoter...we took this to be a good sign
9. interparcel have always done ok for me, generally either use their 'own brand' courier (I think they usually turn out to be dpd).
10. very nice indeed any trades?
11. [s]For sale, my well used but still in very good shape 6u rack. A lot like this one: http://www.thomann.d...ck_6he_live.htm 400mm internal depth, front and rear lid, has had 4 castors added to back lid to make it easier to move when full (could be removed if desired), Rack rail at front only, A few stickers etc on outside (nothing rude). Local collection/delivery around Sheffield only thanks.[/s]
12.
Good luck with the gig! Still looking to have the Traveler if the Super 15 sells!
Cheers matey, if your cab sells (and mine too) then we may between us be able to complete this one too
13. As my EAD cab is up for sale and I'm downsizing, this monkey is the next logical departure...I'm looking for a CDM121P combo as it's the same amp-gubbins as this but all tidily fastened together with a decent-ish 12" speaker in a neat little box... Bought on here last year, kept in a rack case, superb condition (just a couple of very minor scuffs), fully working, no issues at all. Prices for individual bits (collected) or £425 for the lot. LMIII - £400 Gator 2U Rackbag - £40 LMIII Rack ears - £15 Local collection/delivery around Sheffield is more than welcome, otherwise, UK shipping only please (at cost to buyer).
14.
. Great band name by the way. I've just realised I haven't added pictures, will do that tonight.
cheers matey first gig tomorrow! gear pics are always nice
15. If my EAD cab sells soon I may be asking about the combo so I can also rehome my LMIII which will make loads of space in the house thereby gaining me lots of wife-points
16.
The irony is Andy, the last no show, the one who's wife said he couldn't have it, mentioned it to his mate in the pub on Sunday night. Now his mate is the new owner . The same new owner that had contemplated the Hot Rod for sale in Glasgow at £1100. The new owner texted me last night and he loves it, so, all's well....................
that's hilarious and serendipitous, happy sale matey! need pics of your new CS now too of course
17. Phew! Glad it's sold I was having bass dreams but my cab not selling in time scuppered that one...
18. come on cab...sell sell sell so I can cheer Karl up
19.
Sunny Bristol, kind Sir - if you want to arrange a courier I'm happy to package up extremely well (at cost) - drop me a PM if of interest
this is a tricky choice now between 2 things I'd really like (assuming my cab sells before either of the things I want of course) damn that gas
20.
Can't understand why this is still here, especially at this price. We used mine in our studio for 3-4 months and recorded everything from modern pop to reggae and in between. Most of the change in tones was from altering the two attenuators on the cab. We used a valve amp through it (Dynacord BA300), Mark Bass LM II, and a few others. All gave different but great results. They aren't heavy by any means, I can haul mine around with one hand when needed. Just a great cab that will give you loads of performance. We tested it against a BF twin 12 cab with tweeter at a bass bash and while the BF was a little lighter, the EAD had a nicer, fuller low end and all around tone. It just sat nicer in the band mix. Plus you have way more flexibility with the EAD. It's a great workhorse cab, designed and built with precision and performance in mind, very reasonable footprint...and it has a great cover too
Cheers Tom matey, they're stunning cabs and I may regret the selling but needs must, times change, sounds and aesthetics need to fit with an originals band etc...
21. It's free to get in and the beer is awesome in there (Thornbridge brewery)
22. If i got a second one I'd be in big trouble but...don't suppose you fancy a trade with cash my way for my ead 212? or have i asked this question already? I'm v tired from a long day driving so am easily confused...
