1.
Just sorting out where to put the signup thread..... Bear with. Karl
drop a mod a pm, they'll point you in the right direction matey affiliates maybe? or possibly a forsale thread?
 2. it's working for me which makes me wonder if it's a fixable thing for you maybe? have you tried deleting the internet history, cookies etc?
 3. tuner = absolute minimum comp and probably a grit box
 4.
A simple measurement, button to button, of the strap they currently use would be ideal. I'll use this as the middle of the adjustment range. I expect the strap will be able to adjust several inches in either direction to allow for different clothing thickness and fluctuation weight, etc.
oo colour me interested too! So...it'll be a standard design strap made to bespoke lengths?
 5. Superb! Is that a specially reinforced stool it's resting on
 6.
Now Sold! Many thanks for all the interest! Will.
well hurrah! That took way longer than I expected!!
 7.
I'll design and make a prototype to test. Is anyone in West London/Ealing area who could come and try it?
that's me out then, being in Sheffield one for discreet methinks
 8.
I don't know if there is niche for that kind of product in the bass market so much as in my private life, and probably your own too.
more a twinned pair of niches?
 9.
If I end up making a prototype, It'll certainly need testing........ Karl
I'd be happy to help of course
 10.
SQUEEEE!! SQUEEEE!! SQUEEEE!!!
hhmmm, that now reads a bit like an animal cruelty offer from Louisiana (squeeee like a guinea piggy boi)...I'm sure they won't be made from actual guinea pig leather
 11. if you need any guinea pigs for your straps I'm sure discreet and I could happily road test one each another really really useful touch would be to have an option to make the strapbutton holes big enough to install schaller straplocking ends without havng to cut into the reinforcement!
 12.
Any advance on lengths or is 100cm to 150cm the ideal range?
you could do the 100-150cm as the standard offering but also potentially offer one in 70-100cm for those who like to pick their nose with their bass?
 13.
What length range, minimum to maxiumum lengths?
I use the minotaur ones too (classic bass in black and one in brown) and would be very interested in trying out a contoured one from you, I'd also agree with discreet on the length adjustability (100-150cm)
 14. yep I can see the difference in the contours there...hhmmm also, if you'd paid however much for a legit Marcus and then ha dsomeone proper do some mods on it (spending another couple of hundred) why would you then sell it so cheap? summat smells a bit like a fishing village maybe?
 15.
No thanks, that's a bass only it's maker could love!
so what you're saying is...it's not really your kind of thing glwts matey
 16.
Very glad that worked out for you, young man.
thanks old bean

 18.
That can be a problem, one just ain't enough. Glad yours is all up and running.

When you get a good `un, those 70s Precisions are cracking basses. I`ve probably had more compliments re tone using my `78 than all of my other - considerable I might add - basses I`ve ever owned put together. And many of those have been from non-bassists.
Cheers guys, it certainly feels like a 'good-un', nice n light and sounds awesome!
