1. I think a change in your playing style would be more effective than adding pedals.
2.
This is the one with the socket on the plate? Tony
yes, correct regards neil
3. Its this one: http://www.audereaudio.com/JZ3.htm Its been in my Jazz for about 8 months and gigged about the same amount of times as I use my Precision more now. £90 posted Great pre if you like a more flexible and modern sound over the trad sounds. Thanks

5. Can we give MLA a bit of a break. Hes offering an opportunity to someone, however specific the criteria may be, its an opportunity. They are rarer than hens teeth. If you dont meet said criteria, then its not for you, dont berate his offer. However tongue in cheek the responses are we are on course to give a bad impression of BC.co.uk By the way, Im 41 and score "medium sh*t" on the bass richter scale. When can I start? Best of luck MLA.
6.
It is! Soon on it's way to it's 4th(?) BCer!
By the way, unless its been changed, i sold it with wizard 64s in both positions.
7. Oh, looks familiar, think thats my old SX!!!!!!
8. Hope you get some redress on this mate. That headstock is such a giveaway as not a Jap bass. They didnt do that satin finish, they were varnished and even the shape is not accurate. keep us updated.....
9. Ooh, Prince Edward on backing vocals.........nice.
10.
I'm actually looking for another Jazz to gig alongside my Ged. I've always loved the look of Ellie from Erase Errata's Jazz - can anybody tell which one it is? http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?...;albumId=446349 I've looked at the US stuff - quite pricey - especially when the MIJ appears to have a good rep. Is it only the Ged and Marcus Miller jazz's that are MIJ? No others? Must admit, I'm liking the look of the MIM classic series too. I'm just a little concerned about the stuff I've read on here about the quality. Is the classic series any better than other MIM's?
Totally recommend the 70s Classics. The bass in the pics looks like a Japanese 75 Re Issue with a retro fit Baddass.
11. Must admit, not a fan of any of them. IMO, you should all adopt a common stylistic theme dresswise. All to disparate, your intended musical style is ambiguous. As said above, drop the instruments, mics and stick.....dreadful. Stick with either natural surroundings or no surroundings at all, possible on a solid dark colour background. Try just head/shoulder shots of each band member, but avoid "straight at the camera" poses. Something quite off the wall perhaps??? Photo shoots are hard. Its easier for us, as youve guessed, to advise you what NOT to do, rather than the converse. GL.
12.
I'm not quite sure how they design around the need for one Nik but it doesn't need one, maybe the setback of the headstock is greater? Peter
The zero fret probably makes a tree superfluos.
13. Glad you like it, Im very pleased with mine.
14.
Hi All, After a bit of advice. My Trace Elliot AH300SMX keeps emitting a killer buzz ( Really loud ) Whenever any other amp/ Pa is turned on in the same room. I have took it to be serviced and they gave it a clean bill of health. but the problem still occurs. I have tried my two basses with and and changed all leads. I'm cleaned up the earthing point inside the amp and am at a bit off a loss what to try next. Any help would be gratefully appreciated as my misses has said NO to a new amp!! Cheers Fletch ( Also the only way to stop the buzz is to hit the amp hard on the top, this always looks professional when your frontman has to do this in the middle of a song NOT ) Thanks
If a hit is the cure, then its likely to be a dry joint somewhere. A visual check should locate it. Get the service bloke to check again.
15. When you can play your band members intruments and they cant play yours.
16. Mmmm, James Galways quote: My granddad played the flute, my dad played the flute, my uncle played the flute Feck me, I bet Christmas's are an absolute blast at his house.!!!!!!!!!
