http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Fender-Standard-...=item2c522f438f Hes got it up as a standard, but its a Highway 1
9. Im really liking that mate. Agree, leave those lovely reverse tuners on. Get a nice aged white or mint green plate and some proper fender knobs. Stick in a set of Thumpers and you have a great bass in a cool colour. Nice one.
10.
Correct!
Ah,apologies people. MODS plse close.

12. For that money I would expect a better match between scratchplate and control plate.
13. Chris Your Holy Grail. Beautiful Best wishes from Chelmsford. Neil
14.
Cheers for the reply, sorry to sound like a complete noob here but would running it with both cabs not overpower them as they are only rated 200 watts? 300 into 200 sound like new speakers for Bob! Things were so simplier with my redhead combo!
Will be fine, the amp will never kick out the max wattage anyway. Its better to run a higher rated amp into lower rated speakers than vice versa. An amp working too hard to power speakers (eg 150w amp powering 300w speakers) is more damaging to equipment.
15. Go for it. I like the simple colour scheme. I have not tried the SD pup, just the Wizard. The bass is light and the finish is great. Just feels "right", if you know what I mean. Im a huge fan of maple boards. Im after a maple board Jazz next, black maybe? Probably a 2009 MIM!!!!
16.
An up to date shot of from the sofa of my P-basses (l-r) Fender Precision 51RI CIJ 2009, Fender Precision 57RI MIJ 1989, Fender Precision USA 60th Anniversary model and a Fender Precision 1978 USA
You bastard, you absolute bastard (meant in the nicest sense). BTW, your "recovery bass" is an absolute gem. Well done.
17. Erm, not entirely accurate. The amp will deliver 150w at 8 ohm total load and 300w at minimum 4 ohm load. Dont get too tied up with output ratings etc, they vary due to many factors in speaker sensitivity etc. Basically TE stuff is always under rated when it comes to output wattage. Just ensure that any ext cab you connect has a rating of 8 ohms. As you suggest you can safely run two 8 ohm cabs from your amp with no problems. Your amp will be LOUD with one cab (8 ohm) and FRICKEN LOUD with two cabs (4 ohm).
18. Thoroughly recommend them. The MIM standards (2009) are so much better than before. My white jobby with maple board, now with Badass, Wizard Thumper PUP and Schaller tuners
19. and of course master JEs technique. loads of melodic fills/runs and tapping the strings onto the frets as opposed to normal methods.......but im sure you know all this as your doing a trib act. GL with it anyway, always wanted to give a Who Trib Act a go............
20. That is wonderful. £100 and I will mow your lawn aswell?
