1. Agreed, the refin reduces its value IMHO, you could get a non refin for the same money I reckon.
2. had a similar experience in Thurrock with this "Chris", in the dark and all that!!!!! Top bloke. Neil
3. Beautiful mate, from a fellow JAE disciple. however, IIRC John used this model in the 80s, did he not?
4.
A feeler to see if there's any interest as I'm only really interested in selling to buy the Acme B2s that are for sale on the forum. If they go, I'll be happy to keep it! Here's the official blurb: http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid...=427&cid=96 900watts at 4 ohms. Condition wise it's 9.9 out of 10, just some light scuffing to the carpet cover, otherwise it's mint. As most of you know, the Genz Benz stuff is made to a very high quality and this thing handles high volumes at low tuning with no farting or complaints. It really is a good cab and only long term GAS is tempting me to sell it. Price wise, it cost me £400 including travel to buy it - I'd be looking for the same back. I'll get some actual pics up tonight if possible. Cheers, Ben.
How much? £400 new?
5. Jerry Meehan. Thought it was Ashdown stuff next to a Marshall rig.
6.
Just been reading up & Sting did have a fretless Precision first (which he played blind on a gig with no fretless practise or experience!) Here's a pic of his Ibanez... Aha! Found one. Is this the Precision you were looking for?
To avoid any grief for Kiwi and Ped etc, i strongly suggest the Getty Images pictures are removed from this post. GettyImages are a notorious outfit that serve letters of demand to ANYONE that uses their images without permission. Trust me, Ive been there and there is loads on the net about their underhand tactics.
7.
No one's mentioned Gail Ann Dorsey yet... Oooops! I think in just may have!
http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...ost&p=41340
8. also, you own the forum, (probably only a few megabytes at most.), not us bunch of muppets. Best saying you own a forum with the largest membership in Europe.
9. I still have an old nady 201 from about 15-20 yrs ago. Are they still legal to use?
10. I bet in a few months you will wish you hadnt sold this mate.......... Very useful bit of kit to hang on to.
11. [email protected] may be able to guide you. If your OK with a soldering iron, then guess so.
12. Try the amp using headphones, if it has a socket. That will give you an ideaif its a pre amp or power section problem. More likely to be a blown filter (lo-hi pass) if this amp has one or a power amp problem.
13. This was how it looked a month ago
14. Hi OTPJ Yes, its one of the new 2009 MIM Standard Ps with minor mods

17. Have you ever found that your playing your 2nd bass more than your primary weapon of choice? I did..... its only a MIM P bass with Badass and US pups, but it weighs in nicely and plays great.
18. Warwicks for Jazz....really?
19. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
20. Signed photo of the best band in the world........ Circa 1982, I was at Wembley. Nice blokes, although PT was very stoned. Oh, and not really memorabilia, but my John Entwistle neckplate (laser etched) that adorns my Jazz and Precision basses.
21. This bass is 12 months old and absolutely pristine. I will also include a soft gig bag and black scratchplate. £420. Collection from Harlow or Chelmsford. Will deliver within 10 miles for free. Will post for for free. Many thanks.
22. I had the same problem with my TE head. I got one of these 19" rack shelves off the bay. I turned it upside down and put it ontop of the amp chassis. I then drilled holes in the shelf to line up with the threaded holes on the TE chassis. I then bolted the shelf to the top of the chassis. worked great.
